My husband and I stayed at La Quinta in June 2008 for 6 days. La Quinta is a wonderful and relaxing small hotel. Unfortunetly our visit did not get off to a great start. When we booked our room and confirmed via email with the owner of La Quinta at the time of our reservation and the day before our...

We found this place after an Internet search and thought the town and the hotel looked good. We were right on both counts. Zihuatanejo is a great little town, with tourists sure, but not overrun. You can really relax and just enjoy the place. The best beach without a doubt is La Ropa and the hotel sits right above it....

My boyfriend and I just spent a wonderful week at La Quinta Troppo. Everything about our stay was perfect - our beautiful ocean view room, the exemplary service, the fresh food, the hospitality, everything! David's staff (especially Jose and Erica) works tremendously hard to make you feel like you are their only guests. Every request is greeted with a friendly...

We have traveled the world for many years, and have stayed in every type of accommodation...the finest to the unbearable, but always "on the economy". This small hotel is a wonder in Zijuatanejo. If they have availability, you will be wise to book it. Enjoy!

La Quinta Troppo is a magical suprise as is Zihuatanejo. We have travelled the world (literally over 2,000,000 miles) and never gone back to a place twice, except for La Quinta Troppo. The second time was as great as the first. This is a quiet and absolutely gorgeous boutique hotel nestled in the hillside. You feel more like you are...

Pro's(based on Premium Room): Really nice view of the Bay from the Premium rooms & private/quaint setting. Retangluar common area w/ pool is nice to spend some quiet relaxing time(not very big but well maintained). Con's(based on Premium Room): Rooms are much smaller than other available hotels/resorts that are less expensive(You can pay approx $50 per night less & get...

As my husband and I were planning our wedding we took a leap of faith and booked the entire hotel without ever having been to Mexico. We went for the first time in May to take care of all the planning and actually see what we got ourselves into. It was heaven. Our first stay was quick, three nights but...

La Quinta Troppo is a very romantic hotel on a hilltop with a view of the Bay in the distance. We stayed in the La Ropa Suite, open-air on one side and an open bathroom, hot water and a very comfortable bed with a mosquito net (we had no problems with insects). My significant companion was a bit skeptical but...

While my wife Natalie (then fiancee) and I had a great time during our stay at the beginning of 2006 and agree that it's an spectacular place, we have to caution against staying there. Why? It's a bit of a long story, but let's just say their poor management and lack of accountability cost us thousands of dollars and almost...

My friend and I spent a week at La Quinta Troppo and it is a serene and very special, romantic escape. The host is charming and has worked to make the overall experience second to none. Our room, La Ropa, is enchanting. The view and spaciousness are splendid and at times, it was difficult to leave the property as we...

“The night time temps are quite warm, but the rooms stay at a comfortable temperature with the aid of ceiling fans and air conditioners. Our room, Neptune, had a hammock hanging in the adjoining outdoor patio area which overlooked the pool area. Great for that late afternoon snooze.”
