My wife and I have visited Mexico at least once a year for the last twenty-two years. Until now, we've always stayed along the Rivera Maya between Playa del Carmen and Tulum in a variety of all-inclusive resorts, but we decided to try something different. Wow, are we glad we did! The resort is beautiful and immaculately maintained. The food and beverage quality is very good for an all inclusive resort, both at the main hotel restaurant and at the associated private beach club. The location is great (perfect for an easy 15 minute walk to the marina in the morning, or a quick cab ride into downtown, and a breeze to get to from the airport). What makes this a special place, though, is the staff. We were not booked in a higher end room, and we are not members of any type of Velas resorts "frequent stayer" program. Regardless, we were unbelievable treated with warmth and kindness by every single staff person we had contact with, from the general manager of the resort to the housekeeping staff. If what you are looking for is a welcoming, relaxing, oasis in which to be pampered, this is your place. I'm hesitant to mention any specific staff members by name, because I know that I will leave someone out (and it makes it sound like we were badgered by the staff to give a positive review - we weren't). My wife said it would be criminal not to mention some names, though, given the way they bent over backwards to make our stay memorable and worry-free. Nabila, Riccardo, and Sophia at the front desk were all great, and helped us plan a memorable excursion to Sayulita for the day, book a restaurant for a dinner in town, etc.... Armando and Jose were excellent chauffeurs and made sure that our hand never touched a door. In the restaurant, we loved Jesus and Rocio - not just for their excellent service, but for their friendship and genuine hospitality. And Edu is fantastic. This was our first stay at Casa Velas. It certainly will not be our last!!!

The moment you enter this gated resort you know this is a special place. Very personalized service throughout. Located on The Owners Golf Course in the Marina district the quiet atmosphere elicits relation. The Tau Beach Club is a 4 minute shuttle ride from Casa Velas, or a ten minute walk across the golf course. A day around the pool, walking the beach or sunset dining make the Beach Club a must while staying at CV. Safety measures are strictly adhered to.

Thank you very much for making a place for Casa Velas in your extensive travel plans and seeing for yourself why we are the most popular Adults-Only resort in Puerto Vallarta. Our growing list of return guests are amazed at the level of quality that we provide. Whether it's providing our 24-Hour Suite Service, attending to your wants and wishes at our executive beach club, Tau, or if it's instilling in you an extra layer of confidence with our Covid-19 protocols, each moment and every detail is performed with a measure of elegance and grace: they're traits that are not so readily found any more, but ones that we use continually. Thank you for reserving with us at Casa Velas. We hope that your presence will become a yearly tradition and that you become the newest addition to our list of return guests. And as always, we place ourselves at your service for all your future vacation needs. GERALDINE ZARAGOZA HOTEL MANAGER CASA VELAS

WEDDING BUYOUT Short Version: If you’re looking for a place to do a buyout whether for a wedding or corporate event, look no further! We hosted a 140-person wedding by doing a buyout through Casa Velas and we could not have possibly dreamed of anything better. Long Version: Where do I even begin? My husband and I got married at Casa Velas 1/20-1/23. We chose Casa Velas because we wanted to be able to rent out an entire resort for our larger wedding party and for everyone to be in a beautiful, quaint resort so that it felt like we were all together the entire weekend rather than shuttling around a large resort. We were also drawn to the fact that the resort focused more on quality food than quantity and that we still had full access to the beach by their private beach club, Tau. This was not a standard small destination wedding, this was a large, 140 person, Indian/American fusion wedding with 4 days of events. We are 2 weeks out from our wedding (when I started writing this review) and we can both (along with our families) say that our wedding weekend was hands down greater than we ever dreamed. Casa Velas BLEW US AWAY with their ability to bring their staff together and create the most pleasant, organized and stress-free weekend we could have possibly had. Geraldine, the General Manager, and Andrea, the wedding coordinator, were our go-to people from day 1. We completed 2 site visits, one before signing our contract and one 3 months prior to the wedding to finalize details. Both visits we were met with nothing but amazing service, hospitality, and kindness. Both visits were very well planned and both Geraldine and Andrea made sure we were able to see, visit and taste anything and everything we needed to during our short time so that we could adequately plan for our large wedding. The staff at Casa Velas makes you feel right at home, especially during our second visit when they remembered our family and treated us like just that..family. Not only did they remember us, but we remembered them as many of them were unforgettable. Carlos, Ramon, Rosie, Ricardo, Benny, Alfanso, Nabilia, Jesus, Danielle, Noberto… the list goes on. As mentioned previously, this was not an average wedding. This was a 4 day event with tons of vendors and extravagant planning done by Jaime Kostechko through Wild Heart Events. The design and complexity of the wedding was over the top and something that hadn’t been done at Casa Velas before, but both Geraldine and Andrea did everything they could and went above and beyond to help assist our planner and make all of our dreams come true. Their communication leading up to the wedding was impeccable. Inevitably things were slower in the beginning secondary to COVID and their team being very busy with peak wedding season, but in the end, everything was communicated in a timely fashion for us, our planner and our vendors. Our wedding weekend consisted of a welcome party, Haldi ceremony, whale tour, sangeet and finally wedding day ceremony and reception. Our guests were amazed by all of the details that the staff at Casa Velas helped us carry out. The wedding weekend was made truly because of their impeccable staff and their attention to detail, as well as their overall kindness, hospitality, and generosity. I could write a novel about all of the details but a few things that stick out to us are: -The check in process for 140 guests arriving multiple days, all different times and needing to show proof of covid testing was seamless. -The COVID precautions were everything we could have asked for and more. Given our wedding was during peak omicron we were very nervous and wanted to implement as much precaution as possible. Geraldine worked with us to make sure all of her staff was tested 24 hours before the start of our event, she graciously had her team check our guests' negative tests upon arrival, they set up smooth testing times for guests 1 calendar day prior to departure so that everyone could make it home stress-free. And of course, all staff was diligent about their masks and face coverings at all times. This made not only us, but our guests feel much better and because of that we were able to truly enjoy and relax during our weekend. -The food preparation and presentation was amazing every day. Not only did the food look good but it tasted good and was ALWAYS warm. To me, this is the hardest thing to master for large events, but Casa Velas did it with grace. -Geraldine worked with us, as she knew how important it was for us to have an Indian chef/outside Indian restaurant bring in food for various events throughout the weekend. The Casa Velas team worked seamlessly with the Indian Gate restaurant to make sure both the non-Indian food and Indian food was equally served and presented well -We requested to have our mandap floating over the pool for our wedding ceremony. This was not an easy task and one that does not come without a ton of safety checks. Geraldine helped make this dream come true and had everyone’s safety in mind at all times. She was diligent in talking with vendors and making sure the setup process was checked, checked again and then 10 more times to assure there were no issues on our big day. -Each night after our events Casa Velas made sure there was late night staff for guests who wanted to continue the party and/or those who needed food after a long day. The food, even late at night, was incredible and more than we could have ever asked for. -At every event there was no waiting for food or drinks, Geraldine and Andrea had an army of staff for our 140 guests and it truly did make the event go so smoothly. -On Sunday when many of our guests departed all around the same time we watched as Geraldine and Andrea single-handedly helped load luggage, flag taxis, and answer guests' questions/concerns about airport logistics. This was a true testament to their hospitality and the fact that they are always going above and beyond for their guests. -The cleaning services were amazing. Dolores and Jasmine were some of our cleaning staff and they did an incredible job. I know many of our guests made comments about how early things were cleaned and tidied up which made a world of a difference. -The servers were also amazing. They often stayed late and brought late-night guests food/drinks etc. with no questions asked. During the day they had nothing but smiles on their faces and interacted with the guests like they had known them for years.

Thank you so much, Justine, for taking the time to express your great appreciation for Casa Velas and the creative efforts that were undertaken to ensure that your wedding was as spectacular and meaningful as you dreamt it would be. As you know by now, any wedding, big or small, has a number of countless details to consider. Your four-days full of colorful celebrations were easily the most elaborate that we have undertaken. But with your clear vision of what you wanted, along with the experience, professionalism, and responsiveness of Geraldine, Andrea, and our entire staff, your wedding culminated in a perfect piece of choreographed artwork and a spectacular success for the families and everyone else privileged to be in attendance. On behalf of the management and staff of Casa Velas, I thank you for entrusting us to make the moment as epic as possible and wish you both a long and loving future. Thank you, MIGUEL PEREGRINA HOTEL MANAGER CASA VELAS

After reading everyone's reviews my husband and I decided to experience the magic of Mexico. This was my 2nd time and my husband's first. He had always been skeptical in visiting. Now we can't wait to return. We experienced the hearts of the people and the country. You can't explain the first step walking into Casa Velas. You could feel the smiles through the covid masks and the sparkle in the staff's eyes. I can't begin to thank and name everyone that helped to make our stay exquisite as I don't wish to leave anyone out. The staff made you feel like home as everyone knew your name! From the beautifully manicured grounds, warm inviting pool, outstanding food, nightly music ending in a lovely nights sleep who could ask for more. We stayed in the Grand Class Suite which included a plunge pool. I did use the plunge pool several times. Several trips were made to Tau Beach Club. The van always took us both ways. I highly recommend taking advantage and enjoying the sunsets at dinner. I wish I had taken advantage of the spa. Everyone said it was one of the best. A very memorable moment was witnessing the full blood moon eclipse on the patio. When we were waiting to leave I sat and witnessed couples coming through the door, margaritas in hand and seeing Casa Velas for the first time. You can't deny that piece of artful magic this place has on you. We will return. ❤️

Thank you very much, Debbie, for researching the reviews and then following your heart to the doors of Casa Velas. Your charming review will certainly help other potential guests envision if Casa Velas is the right place for them. Also, I'm a firm believer in making first impressions count. For us, the first 30 minutes after your arrival will generally dictate the rhythm of the rest of the vacation. That first half-hour included the genuineness that you felt from my staff as you checked in, received your orientation, and then shown to your suite. And allow me to say that our discerning clientele picks up on the subtleties of warmth and sincerity quite quickly. Those human values truly help convert a good holiday into a highly inspirational vacation experience. And I'm delighted to read that you felt skeptical before your arrival, but now you can't wait to return. Thank you for trusting us to reach and exceed your expectations. We look forward to catering to your well-deserved vacation needs in the future, and until then, we remain at your faithful service. Take care, MIGUEL PEREGRINA HOTEL MANAGER CASA VELAS

I went to Casa Velas with my best friends to celebrate my upcoming wedding. We had the absolute time of our lives! Everything from the service to the food was top knotch. We loved how private our resort was, but how easily we were able to visit the other resorts. The bellman, front desk staff, restaurant/bar, spa and custodial staff always greeted us with a smile and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Everyone was amazing and we will truly miss Girado, Cesar, Jerry, Daniel, Sophia, Ramon, Ricardo, Antonio and Armando. I can’t wait to plan my next trip back! Would recommend this resort to anyone. There are truly no words to describe the time we had. Love you all!!
