Had a wonderful time.. first time here and I would have to say it’s not going to be are last see you next year.. wow wow the food out of this world .. delicious !! thank you Arturo for great hospitality.
On July 30, 2022, Sat. Night, Dinner at Seafood Market. It started to rain, no slippery signs at lobby! I fell, it took 45 mins for ice for my head. It took Miguel Medina Hotel (Mgr) 1 hr to come see.
My family and I went to Villa del Palmar for vacation and had a wonderful experience. The resort was very well maintained and the staff were so nice and helpful. We had a lot of fun that the week flew by. As soon as we got out of the taxi Georgina greeted us with a warm smile and positive attitude. She informed us of all perks and the activities that the resort had to offer. They have an activities group that will make sure you make the most of your vacation. Sergio was very welcoming in all the activities we participated. We did not regret a single one. They had bingo in which Tino would translate the numbers in both Spanish and English. My favorite would have to be the kayak and paddle board since I hadn't done it before, but with the help of Eduardo it was a breeze. The pool service was exceptional. Cynthia and Ricardo were always attentive to our drinks and food. If you find yourself visiting I highly recommend asking for either one as they were both very friendly and knowledgeable. All the food at the resort was exquisite and delicious. Chef Navarro is first class and prepared every dish to perfection. The servers made sure you were taken care of without ever missing something. Miguel, José, and Eder were amazing waiters always making us feel part of the Villa Group Family. Our favorite part of the resort were the various classes that they held for guests. Some of the classes were cocktail mixology, cooking, and tequila tasting. Betty, she's in charge of these, was absolutely phenomenal. She always had a smile and catered to our needs. The tequila tasting, instructed by Jose, was a blast because of the free tequila haha and because Chema would rally up the party throughout the tasting. Lastly, some of the inconveniences that my family and I disliked was that the resort is lights out at 10:30pm and no music played throughout the day. If we wanted food past curfew we would have to seek elsewhere. If we wanted to indulge in drinks and music we would have to go downtown or to neighboring hotels. Some of the staff were unaware of the different perks that came with each bracelet, vip, elite, etc. so sometimes that would be an inconvenience as well. Other than that this resort was a great vacation spot for my family and will definitely visit again.…
We have been enjoying Villa Palmar Puerto Vallarta for 20+ years. The property is spectacular and the staff is polite, knowledgeable and accommodating, Our concierge, Monset, always makes out trip a complete success. She helps with restaurant reservations, excursion recommendations, and tends to our every need. Monset is the best. We look forward to visiting this property again and again and we recommend it to our friends and family. Dont forget to say hi to the property cat, Morris :)
Really great hotel so Beautiful and the attendants are so nice and helpful. Lots of food options with different food options. The pool is awesome kids loved it and they help book any excursions to make your trip even better!
I have a fanily of 4, but our group was 10 people total. I got the 2 bedroom superior suite which was not that great 3rd floor, but no elavator. The room was dated, others in my group had much nicer rooms even though i payed more. As far as the staff at the hotel they were amazing and very attentive! The pool waiters/waitress were so great coming around often to ensure we were being taken care of. Rodrigo at the cantina was so awesome with our to go orders! Ana and Alex at the kids club were so amazing and entertained our kids for a few hours every day! The gym was a nice size and had a women sauna and jacuzzi seperate from the mens. The pool was a great time and everything was pretty nearby.
The highlight of our week was Eduardo helping us out with paddle boarding and Ana and Alix at the kids club. My kids loved the fun activities at the kids club and I always felt they were well taken care of with Ana. Noelle at the spa did a good job with my pedicure. They all went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time and we appreciated it. All the staff we interacted with were excellent. But as far as accommodations- we did not get the room as pictured. They’ve remodeled some rooms and had NOT remodeled ours. Our bags still smell musty from our room we stayed in. Our room was 2110 (don’t stay in this room!), and we had paid for an upgrade to a one bedroom suite. The location next to the pool was great, until you realize the rooms have no sound proofing and you’ll hear people at the elevator, above you, and yelling at the pool, along with employees slamming the cleaning closet door close by at all hours of the night. I had to leave the oven fan on so we could cancel some of the noise so our kids didn’t wake up every other hour at night. The kids mattresses had holes in them. We had to put a track of rain noise on full blast in our room so we could sleep each night. The AC went out in our room the last night (it was 80/25 and no air circulating) and I had to go to the desk at 2 am to have someone dispatched to fix it. The food was okay. Main restaurants are open air which means there were constantly birds at the tables, and bees and bugs on the food on the buffet for breakfast every morning. More than once, the hot food was cold. The restaurants switch which are open at night, so you can’t always get the restaurants shown (they told us don’t bother making reservations when we got there). The tables and seats are always a bit dirty it seems. All inclusive is not all it seems at this resort. There are stipulations, like you can’t even get an icecream cone at the crepe/icecream station (also there are surcharges for jumbo shrimp, limits on room service, etc). You have to sign for each meal, and the service is SLOW. They have central kitchens and they bring your food to the restaurant from them, and then you wait forever for the bill to be ready. The pools were nice and well maintained. My kids loved the swim in cave and water slide. There are no life guards at any of the pools. A little girl drowned while we were there, but miraculously a doctor was close by and performed CPR and brought her back to life. There are kids jumping off the main pool rocks, and people almost were landed on top of each day we were there. The beach is not private, so people will constantly be by to ask you if you want to buy things. Even sitting up at the resorts seafood market people were still trying to sell us things. We also did the timeshare presentation (which they say is not a timeshare but a travel club with points so we could get some discounted tickets to the dolphin/water park. We left the property at 8:45 to the Flamingo sister property, and we didn’t get back until close to noon. Just know it’ll be much longer than what they say if you decide to do it. But no one was pushy about going to the presentation at the resort. We won’t be back to this resort, as we didn’t get the room pictured to us, all inclusive had stipulations, and there are better places to stay close by. The employee at the other resort said they are likely tearing the property down soon.…
alana and luis from activities are amazing and made it very memorable their hospitality and knowledge was incredible Alana kept us all activate and on our toes the entire time will definitely miss her and luis they will be my first stop when we return
Very family oriented which was great. Majority of guests were families with kids. The staff is amazing and kind. Only met one server who was rude. Everyone else was fabulous. Restaurants: The buffet is incredible. Always chose that. The Japanese restaurant was awful. The Seafood restaurant was a joke, the portions are small and price was high, but you get the same food at the buffet. The taco bar was great but we both got very sick from the avocado/salsa bar that they has sitting out in the sun with no refrigeration or ice. We stupidly ate the salsa thinking it was being properly looked after. We got sick for days. The crepes from the lobby were very good. The breakfast buffet is the best. Stellar food selection and service. Room service was awful, over an hour late and they messed up our order so they had to go back and get the correct food. The spa.. wow I have had massages all over the world and I don’t think I’ve experienced one better than Elda’s. Please go see her. They serve a delicious cinnamon tea afterwards. The entertainment: was quite good, The Michael Jackson show was Vegas quality, surprisingly good! Location…. We booked this specific location so that we could take our baby into the ocean and not worry about waves… what they don’t tell you it’s they have crocodiles at this beach. I saw a giant one in the waves just in front of the resort to the left of this one. It was absolutely shocking that they don’t have any signs up, despite the fact that 2 tourist were attacked just last month at their other location up the beach! It seems evil that they do not warn their guests. This resort is a short walk from the river, and in the summer there a big rainstorms that flood the rivers and wash the crocodiles out to sea. I told the front desk that I saw a crocodile and it seemed to be a hush hush situation, which is why I’m posting this, because they will not tell you about it. There are 3 beautiful pools to swim in. If you are ok with the risk of crocodiles just avoid swimming at night and also after a rain storm/when the water is visibly brown or murky. …
