Travel background: While I am not a person who has extensive travel/tropical vacation experience, I have been to the Baja once, Puerta Vallerta @ the Dominican Rep. twice each. This was my girlfriend's first tropical vacation. We were @ Las Brisas Feb 18-25, here are a few of our thoughts and observations after a wonderful week in Huatulco: Room: Our...

We travelled to Las Brisas February 12 – 19, 2010 with a 4 year old and a 7 year old along with wonderful family friends who brought their two teenage boys. Before I do my review on Huatulco – I have to comment on Sky Service – the airline provider that we took to Huatulco. I will NEVER take Sky...

We are just wrapping up our trip at Hotel Las Brisas. I was a little skeptical after reading some of the negative reviews of this hotel, but everyting turned out great. First, the water is safe to drink, even the tap water in the rooms. Our room was well appointed with a fridge and free minibar, with lots of marble...

We just returned from Las Brisas this past Friday and Wow what a week. We travelled with another couple and had a great time. Staff was always friendly and went out of their way to help you. Rooms and the whole resort were kept extremely clean (beaches raked every night). Beds were extremely comfortable for sleeping . . . and...

We just got back from staying for one week at Las Brisas. Wish we could have turned the one week into two! Arrival at the airport is LONG! Don't expect to get anywhere very fast! But, luggage arrived with us, and all went well! Our check in at the hotel went very fast and orderly! In no time at all,...

We just returned from our stay at Las Brisas in Huatulco. I have to agree with so many others who have submitted their opinions on this resort. It is pretty but there is much to be desired. I might be the only American that was there! I definitely knew I was in Canadian territory when it was 95 degrees out...

Just returned from 1 week at this hotel. Overall impression is good, however the 4.5 rating by Signature Vacations is generous, if your comparing to 4.5 star hotels in Mayan Riviera, Punta Cana etc. I work in the tourism industry and have traveled to many resorts over the past 13 years and can safely say this hotel is at best...

We just got back from a week at Las Brisas and would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing week in the sun. Huatulco, and Las Brisas, are as low key as resort towns get when designed with servicing hundreds/thousands of guests. The resort itself is quite nice...at least the grounds are. It is very sprawling and requires lots...

The setting is beautiful, three crescent beaches sheltered even on windy days, no big surf this makes it perfect for families. The grounds are lovely, the buildings are a bit ugly as it was an old club Med and it seems that the theme was "why use 2 yards of concrete when you can use 20?" the food at the buffet...

My Husband and I were guests at this resort just under a month ago now and I thought I would share the points that still stick out to me on this resort. Pros: Spacious resort - everyone is quite spreadout as the resort itself requires alot of walking. There are 3 beaches and 3 pools, as well as a kiddy...
