This accommodation is 100% Pet Friendly, it is everything: good, nice and cheap. It's a simple, cute and quaint hotel and has a very good location: within walking distance from the beach, nice restaurants and bars. Noise level is average, although it might seem a bit noisy if you're not used to pets (specially dogs; surprisingly, at night it's completely quiet). (Paty is at the reception, a cute creole dog that welcomes guests with a good wagging)
Pros: The facilities are clean and the pool has very good temperature. Staff's attention is great: friendly and very helpful. Rooms are very well cleaned. They have an agreement with a beach club. Very good location and safe.
Cons: During the day, the rooms may get humid/warm if you don't have A/C, but can be solved by putting the fan to the maximum and opening the windows/balcony doors for few minutes. If one returns late to the hotel, you must ring a bell, as they close gates after 10 pm. Apparently, from 20:00 - 21:30 ants come out (And there are huge ants! Believe me!), if one has the door or window open, they sneak into the room.
This hotel is a hotel for locals and nationals. Very clean with a small and very clean pool. The location is great, just a short walk to the beach. The owner and staff treat you like family. When I come to Huatulco I will always stay here. Truly a gem tucked away in the jungle. Good A/C and ceiling fans. Close to all the necessities
The hotel is ok, has a swmming pool , I got a room on the first level quite nice close to the pool, the hotel is in front of a park quite nice, the saturday I was there they had a flee market , two blocks from a main avenue buses to downtonw every 5 minutes, close to the beach nice surroundings it has no restaurant!
A welcoming place with very helpful owners. They will bend over backwards to help in any way possible. The place is basic and clean. No hot water, but it was somewhat tepid which was fine for the season. Chose a room with a/c so our dog would be comfortable while we explored and played on the playas. Good location. Quiet except when something would set off their dogs, which never occurred late at night.
We spent only one night in this hotel, but only because we were headed to Oaxaca the next day. It is in a quiet part of town, very close to Playa Chahue, a very nice beach. 'Quiet' is a relative term in Mexico and Central America. I mean that it is outside of the main traffic zone, so car noise is at a minimum. Dogs and roosters are about the same as anywhere, although, as some reviewers have noted, the hotel has a few fairly yappy dogs that get pretty agitated when they see another dog. But truthfully I do not recall hearing them in the night.
The rooms are basic, and ours was reasonably airy. We did not opt for air-conditioning (which would help with any noise issues I'm sure), but were fine with just a ceiling fan despite the 30 degree heat. Beds are somewhat hard, but the rooms are clean and well-kept.
This hotel is for seasoned travelers, not those looking for luxury or something just like home. But if an affordable, clean and basic room is all you need, this is a good option.
