Been here quite a few times for many years but things have drastically changed. Room rates have gone up for worse service. Fridge was dirty and not working. The final straw was the female manager,, tall with short hair and broken english extorting meto pay $200 US or she was going to call the police to have me arrested for smoking a vape pen in my room. Unknowingly that vape pens weren't allowed. I don't know ayer the thousands of dollars I've spent there she wants to extort me for a meassely 200 bucks. Chump change to me but where the loyalty?? Between that and the decline of service I will never stay here again. Much better places on trip advisory anyways

We stayed at the most expensive room with Jacuzzi. Room clean and super quiet. A knob of a jacuzzi was loose but it worked fine. Nice people working there. But what made us not come back here is we couldn't even bring in a friend. We feel trapped and being watched making sure we don't bring anyone in. The hotels around this areas look to have this similar strict policy.

I saw about 7 guest that had personal nurses with them. I asked the housekeeper if they had cleaning rules now with COVID19 and they said at first they did, then after a few months it all went back to normal cleaning. I asked them to show me a sanitizer bottle and they only had windex. I checked out about 3 days early.

We did not make a mistake when we decided to stay here in Sept 2019 for 2 nights. No noise from the club can be heard from our room even though its located near to Las Pulgas club. Limited American and Mexican breakfast menu option to choose. We actually walked from the US/Mexico border to the hotel but decided to take a van back to border. We also took a van to Rosarito beach.

Checked guest policy prior to making weeklong reservation in most expensive room. Was told guests were allowed. After check in and payment in full, was informed that guest policy had changed and no exceptions would be made. Now I'm stuck with an unusable hotel room because they changed policy after my reservation.
