This was a "last minute" booking for a group of 4 couples. No elevators, long walk and up and down stairs to reach lobby and parking lot. Weather was moderate, so no need for AC which this hotel doesn't offer. Only one ceiling fan. Bathroom did have dispensers in shower with soap, shampoo and conditioner. They advertise satellite TV, but...

My husband and I came here for a short getaway. Our expectations were not very high, but the hotel still managed to disappoint. The rooms are old and outdated, and the bathroom was so bad that we wore our flip flops in the shower. The hotel has a nice view of the ocean, and the pool area was decent, but...

In the immortal words of Bette Davis, "What a Dump"! I realize that this rat hole is in Mexico but that being said why the Newport Beach, Ca, pricing policies? I paid $129 a night for a room with no heating or air conditioning, a rusty threee-bladed ceiling fan, hot water only one day, no elevators despite five floors, a...

How awful! The lobby was okay, but I realized right there that there was no air conditioning...and it was in the high 90's outside. Getting to the room was a bit difficult with many stairs and weird turns: I could deal with that. The rooms are in dire need of a renovation: I could deal with that. The chairs in...

Beach should not be part of the hotels name-there is no beach, but a rather scary drop off. It took me two days to figure out that their jacuzzi was supposed to be green( I hope). The tennis courts-only one had a net, and it was ripped. On the plus side, the pool was nice, the place except for the...

Well my husband and two teenage kids absolutley hated, woke up early and cancelled the next days reservations on this place. Which they very kindly did w/ out any canc. charges. The comment was yes we get alot of this from us citizens. My feeling was this... it was pretty inexpensive for an ocean view @ $89/ night. But the...

On June 16-19 2005, I had the pleasure of staying at the Newport Beach Hotel in Mexico. I had read the reviews, and some of them were not so good. Well, let me tell you. From the time we arrived until we left, the staff was so kind, and made our stay so enjoyable. The hotel room was overlooking the...

We wanted a special place to spend our 37th wedding anniversary and we were not disappointed. We had a king room with a balcony overlooking the ocean. It was so wonderful to hear the ocean day and night, and watch the Pelicans fly by as well as watch the lights from the cruise ships far out into the Bay. As...

I stayed at the NewPort Beach hotel with my husband and we totally disliked the place. It is very old, smelly and the service is terrible. For the amount of money they charge you might as well stay in The Oasis or Grand Baja Resort. The quality of the hotel can be compared to a Motel 8 in San Diego...

I went with my boyfriend for a nice romantic weekend he wanted to stay at Las Rocas but they were a bit more money so we opted on New Port. The hotel was more than 1/2 empty so it was nice and quiet. I made the mistake of paying with a credit card for the room, the guy who checked...
