This place is one of the nicest on the Baja coast. Very clean, wonderful views, food is tasty and priced fairly, staff bends over backwards to meet ALL of your needs. I have not stayed at the hotel here but would. Rooms are exceptionally clean. Can not say enough good things about this hotel and restaurant. The owner takes pride... More

I haven't stayed here although it looks lovely. We had a fabulous breakfast on their beautiful patio, overlooking the ocean. The food was absolutely delicious and obviously cooked to order as it did take a little while! If you're not in a hurry, this is the place to relax and enjoy

The nice: We rented the Roman room which is quite large with beautiful tile work with two queen beds. It has a patio area and great ocean views. We were part of a large private party and the food was good and drinks flowed. The chorizo omelette the next day was excellent. The staff was friendly. The not so nice:... More

We staid for one night and started of with dinner. The menu had the price for lobster at $18.00 a plate so we ordered. When the bill arrived they charged us $35.00 a plate and when we complained, the owner didn't care. Once we got to our room and wanted to take a shower there was no hot water. Took a... More

This is a nice little spot with gorgeous views of the water. We stayed in the Polynesian room which was very spacious and had an awesome patio with an expansive view of the coastline. The beach has amazing surf and would be fun to play in during the summer months especially. In many ways you're getting huge value for what... More

We ate dinner there with couples. Dinner was fair at best and quite pricey. Don't try the pork ribs. Not too good. For what you get it was too expensive. Service was slow but not a big deal to me as we were not in a hurry. The building itself is a little scary to look at. The view of... More

I could have chosen an American-style resort over this quirky beachfront hotel when I came to the Rosarito area for a destination wedding. But I wanted to know I was in Mexico. From the moment I crossed the bougainvillea-draped threshold and settled on the patio for my welcome margarita, I knew I'd crossed the border. Up in my huge third-floor... More

I have spent a fair amount of time in La Fonda surfing, and stopping to sample the restaurants in this area. Was there on a Friday evening having dinner (Oct 2015) and the problems were more than the typical things, so felt I had to post. In baja, the time required for meals to reach patrons can run a little... More

The place is atrocious in most dimensions. To start with , they charge over 200 dollars per night for something that can't be more than 2 stars. The building is deteriorated. The room wasn't fully furnished. Bed clothes were really old and patched. The rooms lack air conditioning or wifi- which they promise. The mattress is too Soft to be... More

The area is beautiful, but the rooms are too expensive for what they offer. We went to visit family for a birthday party so we only stayed one night. The room was not ready by the promised time, When we came back we found a note on our door informing us that the main source of water was cut off... More

“The room next door was quite LOUD when occupied. There was no one in the room above us but I'm afraid the room would have been noisy if they had been. We stayed in the Western Room and the view was nice...just bring your heater or wood with you!”
