We came into Loreto (1st visit there) mid-December for a 4 night, 3 day diving package. It was a bit colder and windier than expected but our palapa (the Royal Mayan) was beautifully appointed and we had exclusive access to Leon, Senora Chuy and the children. The three days of diving were challenged by afternoon winds, yet we managed to...

Our family just returned from a two week vacation in Loreto staying at the Baja Outpost. We booked a package trip with Leon and had a marvelous time, despite some chilly and windy December weather. He was a most gracious host, and made every effort to make the trip a personalized experience for us, listening to what we were interested...

Sometimes in this life you happen upon a person who makes your life better for the experience, wisdom, and friendship. Leon is a true Renaissance Man, skilled and talented in so many areas that one is humbled and awed to share a few moments of his time. Somehow he has packed several lifetimes' worth of experience and knowledge into himself,...

We've stayed several times at Baja Outpost and were always treated to excellent care, but this last visit Leon out did himself. I was scheduled to fly out of Loreto and for some reason, I was denied access by the airlines, and couldn't fly out. Leon, in a matter of minutes, got on the internet, researched, found and booked another...

You arrive and under the shade of the palapa where you`re going to have your breakfast and at times the honour of being served excellent home cooking made by Leon the extraordinary owner of the place, you relax with his warm welcoming. The palapa rooms are beautiful, comfortable and you sleep in beds for kings. I had three fantastic days...

Our stay at Baja Outpost was very pleasant, mainly because Leon is an excellent host and has wealth of knowledge. He can arrange or at least point you in the right direction for almost any activity you could want to engage in the surrounding area. He made us feel right at home and it ended up feeling more like a...

We just got back from a one week stay at Baja Outpost. The owner, Leon, is wonderful. We did 4 days of kayaking, one day of whale watching and spent one day driving up to a near by mission. On the kayaking days his captain, Loreto, would take us over to the islands and drop us off with our lunch...

Just had the experience of staying here for a week with family. What an amazing trip it turned out to be! The palapas are so cute and cozy. Leon, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was very comfortable. Every morning we had an amazing breakfast with great coffee. Our scuba diving trips were very...
