A spur-of-the-moment trip from San Jose del Cabo where we had been spending 2 weeks took us via bus to La Paz. Several unsuccessful phone calls to find a b&b led us to this charming, quiet place just off the Malacon. What luck! We had a small, colorfully decorated room above the patio. Hostess Carol was so helpful suggesting walks,...

Owner Carol is wonderful lady she puts her passion into her place everywhere you look the little touch she give makes Casa Tuscany home away from home. The breakfast is a true boutique hotel feel all the guest meet at her beautiful courtyard, is unlike any hotel or B&B I ever stay. Oh if you want to know the local...

Casa Tuscany is in a great location, just a block up from the Malecon. The second floor room was clean, attractive, with a comfortable double bed and a small refrigerator. The bathroom had a large shower. The proprietor, Carol, was friendly, attentive, helpful, knowledgable about La Paz, and made several restaurant suggestions, which were all good. Also, Carol makes a...

Dear SW You are right about one thing. Kiki the cat is definitely the real boss around here. He has me very well trained as you figured out. He loves being the center of attention and often greets guests when they arrive. He is indeed a character. Thank you so much for writing your wonderful review on Trip Advisor. Keeping...

Mu room and the courtyard were very pleasant and Carol was a very good host. I very much enjoyed my three nights in the Casa Tuscany. The location of the B & B was also excellent. It was very easy to visit sights in town and close to the seafront.

Casa Tuscany, La Paz, was the first place we stayed in Baja California after flying all the way from the UK, and it was the perfect place to begin our Mexican trip. Carol, the proprietor, could not have been more welcoming, and she understood that we would be be jet lagged, and time-confused, so offered to have coffee available on...

Dear Alison and Gareth That jet lag thing can be a real killer. Our bodies want to sleep when they need to be awake and vice versa. I'm pleased to know the early morning coffee was helpful in adjusting to a new time zone. Some people I know have a hard enough time with a one hour daylight savings time...

Starting with the wonderful woman (Carol) who owns this B and B, she was fabulous. She made our stay there a wonderful experience. It is a beautiful and serene place to stay and was made to feel right at home. It is clean and beautiful. We will go back soon I am sure. She serves a delicious morning meal and...

Dear Dennis and Toni A stranger is merely a friend we haven't met yet. Getting to know people is one of the best things about owning a B&B. Your lengthy stay allowed for some get-to-know-you time, so I am especially looking forward to your return. San Miguel is on my list, so maybe I'll see you first! Thank you so...

Casa Tuscany Inn is a wonderful spot - we had a really delightful stay. The location is perfect, a block away from the scene malecon where pretty much all the action of La Paz is located, and is also nearby many great restaurants. The inn itself is really stunning - the lobby area is a beautiful garden with tons of...

Dear Justin and John, It is really so kind of you to share your wonderful review on Trip Advisor. I find it interesting that you both had some work needing to be done and it wasn't just a vacation. I mean if one has to stay connected to the office, what a great place to do it from. My job...

Carol provides a welcoming atmosphere for guests from around the world. Each room has an Italian name. Ours was Lucca - cheery and bright with a comfortable mattress and patio furniture on the balcony. Breakfast is served in the garden and is a feast of fresh fruit with a different main dish every day, and great conversations with other guests....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Beyond the front gate and behind the walls of Casa Tuscany lies an inn reminiscent of a Tuscan villa. All guest rooms have private entry and open out onto a central courtyard where Costa's Hummingbirds rule. These friendly fliers are very curious and often buzz guests, especially if dressed in bright colors. The Malecon, or boardwalk, is only one block away and invites guests to stroll, bicycle, roller blade, or just sit on one of the many benches to watch the sea and the sunset. Casa Tuscany is close to just about everything in La Paz, encouraging visitors to get out there and experience the local culture without the encumbrance of a vehicle. Rooms are nicely appointed and all rates include taxes and a sumptuous breakfast. ... more   less
