Poonsiri Resort is the ideal place for a relaxing get-away but is close enough to the vibrant Ao Nang beach so you can get the best of both worlds. The hotel provides a regular free shuttle service into Ao Nang which is very convenient. Nestled around a small lake the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We did it find too much of an issue with mosquitoes but insect repellent is a must. The residents monkeys are very entertaining if naughty, we watched them one morning taking towels off a clothesline and dropping them into the lake! Our room came with a daily breakfast buffet which provided a range of options with changes every day. We also ate in the restaurant a few times for lunch and dinner and the food was excellent at every meal. The staff were super friendly and always happy to help. It was my birthday during our stay and they even arranged a birthday cake at breakfast. Would throughly recommend.…
Poonsiri is a good resort but a bit out the way. If wanting the free shuttle on offer you maybe waiting a while. Loved the facilities and very accommodating. They do run on Ao Nang time so don’t be in a hurry
Our stay at the Poonsiri Resort was lovely ! The staff was friendly and helped us in any case immediately. The room was big, super tidy and comfortable. The price performance ratio was great especially as breakfast was included.
Stayed for 5 days and without any doubt, its One of the best resort in Ao Nang. Beautiful room with beautiful relaxing scenery of the cliff. All the staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Even though the bike rental and hotel airport service is way more expensive than the normal charge, but to avoid any hassle, i just take their service. The hotel staff will settle everything for u without u doing anything. The breakfast is good as there is Verity of food choices. From Local dish to English breakfast. Thumbs up to the team! Definitely will recommend anyone here! Ps; for those of you who cant take the mosquito bites and afraid of monkeys, this is not ur type of holidays. This is definitely for nature lovers..
As seen in the photos, it is a beautiful place. More important is the staff and service there. We had an accident and some of us had to stay in the hospital. They took us to and from the hospital when we wanted. All the staff there asked about us and how they can help. It felt genuine not taught or trained. They did for us way beyond what was expected and way way way beyond what was paid. It's beautiful, it's clean, ( rooms and grounds) good restaurant with charming staff, great guys that run the shuttle service and lovey, helpful and caring reception staff.
Very pretty place with friendly staff! Love the monkeys and the kayak that are always available. Everything was amazing except for the breakfast and coffee, which didn’t excite me at all. It is a bit far from restaurants but there’s a shuttle available but definitely recommend to book your shuttle in advance or you might end up waiting a bit! Overall it was a pleasant experience staying in poonsiri.
I loved staying at the Poonsiri Resort, we stayed for 5 nights, it was so relaxing and tranquil, if I was travelling aloneit would definitely be suitable for a solo traveller. Early morning sat out on the veranda watching the monkeys on the roofs of the villa, the massive monitor lizard walking across the island, amazing. You can buy fish food from reception and feed the fish in the lagoon. Breakfast was good, missed not having bacon. Only had one evening meal here and it was ok Staff were fabulous, very helpful and cheerful The drivers will take you to the 7/11 anytime throughout the day, take and pick up your laundry. Such a friendly bunch of drivers/ porters They took us to a lovely thai restaurant where the food was amazing, we ate there 4 out off 5 nights as it was reasonably priced too. Highly recommend Poonsiri River Resort and would return again and again!…
Everything was literally amazing at Poonsiri. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and really handy. They went the extra mile to make our stay perfect, especially the porters. We stayed there for 11 nights and we felt like being home. The scenery is one in a million as when you get back from the beach you can relax and admire the beauty of the landscape. Good cleaning service (although it might be improved a little bit), good location. If one day I came back to Ao Nang, I would undoubtedly stay here again. Would definitely recommend it 100%. Big hug to everyone guys!!!
Poonsiri Resort wrongfully calls the room type a “traditional villa”, which is essentially a suffocating caravan with poor layout, newly built with no facilities like a phone to call the reception or a proper wardrobe. It is so tiny that you can barely walk around the room. The bathroom had no place to hang the towels and all the water spilled into the entire bathroom while taking a shower. It is poorly built, tiny and is the worst accommodation type. Poonsiri Resort is misleading customers by charging an obnoxious amount calling it a “villa”. Left the resort feeling cheated!
A group of three of us travelling through Thailand and Laos in November stayed here for a few nights and loved it so much, we rebooked for a further night on route back to Bangkok .Loved it !! Friendly staff , clean rooms and good food . Could not fault the accommodation or the staff .
