Even giving this hotel 1 star is too much. We chose it because it is a 5 star hotel. But there were only a few people staying in this hotel, so we couldn't feel safe. Later we realized why no one wanted to stay. After cleaning the room, they changed my pillow with a bloody one. I was shocked when I saw the bloody pillow. When I went to the reception to change the pillow, the receptionist could not speak English and so I tried to communicate with google translate for about half an hour. Hygiene 0 , I found a dirty hat right next to the bed. After cleaning the room, they left the garbage in front of the room for 2 days. The location is terrible, you have to walk for about 1 hour from the center of Ao Nang. There are only a few types of omelette and bread for breakfast, breakfast is insufficient. You can see the pictures in the attachments. We made a reservation for 6 days, but unfortunately we had to escape on the 2nd day. If you don't want to waste your money, don't choose this hotel..…
After arriving in the evening at this Hotel i ask the driver to wait, because it seemed closed. Three Employers were there. It was dark just a little light in the entrancehall, no other Guests. The People could not speak really good english and for us it was a little bit a strange atmosphere (I named it Ghost-Hotel) We entered the 1st room in the 1 st floor and asked for another room in the 3rd floor. This was no problem. We wanted to wash our Hands, but there were no Towels for the Hands, only big ones for Shower. I asked at the reception for hand-towels. They told me, that they dont have but they asked also for what, because we already have towels in the room. I explained, i want use others for the Hand. They give us a roll Toilet paper for drying our Hands. In the Bathroom, one Hanging in the Wardrobe was broken and still there as a Half. Everything what we touched in this Room had a sticky surface. The Balustrade at the Balcony had scat from the Birds. We must check where we put your hands. The Atmosphere were so strange, we tought we are the only Guests in this very big Hotel. Later we met others, but only a few. On the other day, we could see, that one Building of this Hotel is complete closed. The Metalbalustrades were already hanging from this Building. Nobody can stay in this Building because it was not safe anymore. It starts to get a ruin. The Hotel has a nice tropical Garden, it is s closed to the Beach, but far from the Center. By walk you need about 45 Minutes to the Center of Aonang. Tuktuk costs 250 Baht one way. There is no Shuttle Service from the Hotel. But you can rent Motorcycles (we did not, because of leftsidetraffic) The Hotel has no Bar where you can order a drink. Just a Fridge beside the Reception, with Beer and Water (maybe Cola). When we arrived in the evening, we always felt dirty, even after shower. The Breakfast was the poorest Breakfast ever. Service terrible. Coffee not drinkable. Just brown water. The Chief of the Housekeepers was very intrusive to me. She did not left the table, because i just say „thank you“. She „teached" me to say in Thai „kap un ka“. I dont know why she wanted that i say the female version, maybe because we were two men in one sleeping room. She did not left the Table until i said „kap un ka", then she left with laughing. Five Minutes later, when she took the plate, she start again with permanent repeating for Minutes. I bet her to stop. On the 2nd day, when we arrived at the late evening, we saw, that they made the Bed fresh. We turned the Pillow, the backside of this „fresh“ Pillow were full of spots and we were sure, this spots looks like blood. We show this the man at the reception. He gave us a new pillowcase. But we pulled also a t-Shirt over the Cushion, because it was so disgusting. In Front of our Room in the corridor was laying two Days the dirty towels from other Guests and their waste in plastic bags. We did not dare entering the swimming pool. Because we could not estimate, when they changed the water lastly. After the 3rd night and after this Pillow-Expirience at night, we left this Hotel in the morning very fast. We asked ourself, how it can be, that this Hotel has 5 Stars. Maybe before Corona it was good. But now, its a ruin, dirty, unfriendly, not helpful. We can never recommend this Hotel. Never ever again!!…
This hotel was not a describe or what the photos online show. So very run down. It must of many many years ago been a great hotel but sadly not at all any more. Breakfast (if you can call it that was awful. We left after staying one night.
For many years I worked in different 5-star hotel chains but this one is way too far from it. This hotel should be re evaluated and get the 3 stars they deserve. To begin with, there’s is not a restaurant in the hotel Only where they serve breakfast and nothing else. Pool area is not inviting at all, the whole hotel is outdated, maybe it was 5 star many years ago because the building looks like it was very beautiful once. It’s not a terrible place don’t get me wrong, the rooms are clean and spacious and the staff are friendly, but is not worth the price you pay for what you get. It looks like an abandoned place.
tl;dr: a run-down, cast-away pompous den that has seen better days. The terrible review is due not so much to the poor service and amenities, but to the fact that they have the nerve to label it as a 5-star "resort". I stayed here 3 nights with my mum and her partner for NYE 22. Upon early arrival, we were not allowed to do early check-in. Our bags were kept without any supervision at the front. The whole hotel looked abandoned and seriously understaffed: a lonely, overwhelmed agent at the reception struggled to understand basic instructions in English (such as servicing a bottle of water from a fridge she had literally two steps to her left), and the manager was unpolite at managing requests. In the rooms, the floors were covered in dust, the bedsheets reeked of humidity and showed dirt spots, there were no toiletries, only two medium-size towels were provided, the lighting was dark and eerie and wi-fi was as good as non-existent. The most shocking part was returning to the hotel two days in a row after 18.00 only to find the rooms had NOT been cleaned. When complaining, the cleaning staff laughed at us and argued that they were very tired cause they have had to clean 60 rooms that day (well, definitely not ours, and excuse me, there was no way that almost-empty hotel had 60 guests at that time). And don't get me started with breakfast: powder orange juice, a very scarce variety of eggs, stale cereal and that's it. In all, it seems this might have been a decent place to stay back in the 70s, before Krabi became a touristic hot spot. It doesn't come anywhere near 5-star standard (most likely 2, and that's an overstatement). Maybe the hotel is struggling to recover after covid-related business halt, but, under the current management, I wouldn't be surprised if it went out of business sooner than later. Very disappointed.…
Such a beautiful setting and super close to great night markets, a lovely beach and only a short scooter ride to some amazing attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very spacious with fantastic shower and bathroom facilities. The bed was on the firm side but have found this to be the case in most resorts/hotels we have stayed at in Thailand. Would definitely stay again.
Thank you so very much for your warm hospitality given to me and my family. Our overall experience starting with getting a warm welcome to checking out of the hotel was marvellous. All staff members were very much polite, humble and always ready to help whenever anything was required. Each time we visited this hotel, a gentle gesture was provided. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone making plans to visit krabi.
We had a great experience, good that we dint go on few negative reviews as it was completely opposite probably the management has changed but it was surprising to see such wonderful property with such humble staff and everything at place. If you are in krabi yes undoubtedly this is the best place.
Best part of the property was the huge pool which had a access from the rooms, well maintained, the breakfast concept was of american style which was well presented and we enjoyed it. Very near to beach as well. The staff was very professional and the management was perfect. Will surely visit again whenever we are in Krabi next time.
- The hotel is located on the edge of the tourist zone in Ao Nang, where you can only get there at night along an unlit broken path. - Check in took forever. For every 1o people, there was one girl who doesn't speak English well. - For the fact that it is a 5-star hotel, the staff does not speak English at all. Only the manager in the whole hotel understands English. - At check-in, the manager talked to us and said that the hotel was opened a month ago after a 3-year break due to COVID (but if you look at the reviews, this is not true). - You can see cockroaches (both alive and dead) in the corridors. - We didn't get the room we ordered. We were supposed to have a room with an area of 79 m2 (free upgrade via Booking). And we got a standard room of 55 m2 (the room before the upgrade). The manager refused to deal with this problem saying that all their rooms are 55 m2. - The room smelled unbearably and was full of dust in the air, the curtains, the bed, everywhere... After a while I started to have difficulty breathing and had to wear a mask all the time. My allergy there was so unbearable that my neck swelled up. When we were dealing with leaving the manager, he didn't care, he would have let me die. - The room was old and dilapidated, many broken things, dirt, dust, mold. - It was cleaned in such a way that there were pieces of I don't know what in the bathtub and a wrapper from previous clients' razors on the bathtub. When I wanted to wash the bathtub, the water did not flow and the drain could not be opened. - The balconies were divided by doors that were open so you could get to the neighbors without problems. - When we wanted to leave the hotel, the manager did not want to cancel our reservation. When we resolved it through Booking, they did not want to refund us for the remaining nights. - The manager left and stopped communicating and the rest of the staff kept lying to us. After a night spent on the couch with a respirator and in our own blanket, we finally left without any money.…
