Stayed in the Ao Nang Regent Hotel for 3 nights. Although the location initially seems a little bit out of the way, the hotel offers twice daily transfers to Ao Nang beach front which take around 5 minutes; alternatively, walking to Ao Nang front takes around 20 minutes and is straightforward once you have your bearings. Additionally, location isn’t an important issue if you plan on visiting the many nearby islands, as most of the tour operators pick up and drop you back to your hotel. Although the hotel was relatively basic, the hotel was clean and represented great value when compared to hostels and other hotels in the area. The hotel manager was very welcoming and extremely helpful throughout our stay.
we stayed from 20/1/19 till 23/1/19. The rooms and the service is excellent. The staff are very responsive to our requests. Its a little far from beach, but overall its an excellent place to stay. will surely stay here again
The room and service was amazing. Everyone at the hotel was so helpful, kind, and hospitable. It’s a bit of a hike from the beach and main restaurants and off the road a bit. We rented a scooter and were good to go.
Family of 5 stayed for 4 nights in the family unit. Spacious unit with kitchen and refrigerator. Staff were super friendly and helpful. No breakfast but only a couple of minutes walk to some restaurants. The hotel is in a back street but we found it to be a great location - literally a couple of minutes walk to Main Street and about -5 min walk to beach. Very happy with our stay and fantastic value for money.
This is a quiet pearl with a beautiful pool and helpfull staff. what i enjoy the most has to be that its far enough from the road so the car sounds wont bother me but still just a short walk from the beach and the great nightlife. looking forward to my next visit already.
Clean room. Extremely comfortable bed. Perfectly located at the start of the busy part of the street leading to Aonang Beach. They offer a free daily shuttle to the beach, leaving at 10:00 and coming back at 5:00. The people working the front desk are extremely helpful and go out of their way to help you out with anything.
We went a couple of friends and we got a really good price on the family room with one double bed and two single beds in same room. The bathroom was fresh and they also had one extra bathroom in the reception. Nice pool and friendly staff. Wery easy to take a yuk yuk to beach
Ao Nang is a great place to vacation because you’re so close to several different beaches and islands. Our room was very comfortable and clean! We truly recommend this place. Also, you can send a package to the hotel and they will hold it for you. They helped us out tremendously with our international package of the home. We surely will stay there again😎
I am just coming to the end of an 8 night stay at the Regent. I wanted to stay close to my parents hotel at the centra, but cheaper as I was a solo traveller. I am pleased to say Regent has met my brief. I had previously spent a few nights in the Ban Sainai, which is gorgeous. I knew this would be very different as it is a budget option. I booked a superior triple room as this was the only option available to me. When I arrived, the large room was laid out as a triple and it looked a bit 'hostel' like as there was a lot of beds in the room. I swiftly rearranged it into a twin bed arrangement end the room looks so much better. The room has everything you need for a short or long stay. There is a large fridge, plenty of storage, a safe, wifi and a powerful air conditioning unit. The room is very spacious, and the bathroom is clean, modern and also a good size. Whilst I have sat by the pool at the end of the day, I have not swam in it. However it is often used by couples or small family groups when they return from their days out. Whilst the pool is fairly small, there have always been sun beds and space and I have had the pool area to myself on several occasions. However, I really loved my spacious balcony, as it appears my fellow residents. It receives the late afternoon sun, with views of the cliffs and the rooftops. It is amazing place to chill and enjoy a cooling drink. The staff here are kind and helpful. They always remember me and offer my room key on my return without me reminding them of my room number. Without fail, the room fairies do an excellent job of replenishing the water, coffee and tea sets, towels and clean my room. The hotel is a 5 minute walk off the main drag, slightly potholed. I have had to make use of the hotel torch every night to get back home. There is lots to do and local mini marts at the top end of town, but equally it is a good 20-30 minute walk to the beach if you do not use their shuttle (one drop off, one return per day). I have been enjoying Nearby Leela restaurant for breakfast and evening drinks and visited the excellent Beer Garden (10 minutes away) for superb food. The regent was an excellent budget option for me during high season. If you are sharing the costs as a couple, family or group of friends, it would be even more amazing value. It does not have the swanky reception of the Centra hotel or the lush gardens of the Ban Sainai, but this is great fir its price point. Thank you REgent team.…
It's pretty nice service. But the wifi was not good at our room, and we lived on the second floor. In the lobby it was really good, but not where we needed it. After complaining they gave us a lot of soda water as compensation. Very thankful for that! Overall, absolutely a good hotel and price worthy.
