Nice hotel for a relaxing stay, not too far from the beach..the hotel offers free transfer during the day. The room was very nice with a lovely outdoor space.Although, we had an issue with air conditioning on the 1st day,the problem was fixed the day afterand we got breakfast complementary. The staff is nice and helpful.
Quiet place away from traffic noise. Very polite staff. Breakfast was good but after 7 days ... :-) Pool area was good but it lacked sun beds. Double bedroom with good space and a rather big balcony. Really good. Very clean. On the downside, our toilet did not work properly. Big problems with flushing and it got annoying at times. Especially after “number 2”. The staff should improve english as there were many english speaking guests. A good walk from the beach though it did not bother us that much. We would recommend fewer days at Ao Nang. 10 nights is too long compared with the “entertainment” and trips available. I think we covered it all in 6 days and could easily be done in 3 or 4 days. We still loved it ;-)
The Hotel is at a very nice place, very close to the beach - almost like 10-15 minutes walking. You will see lush green views. Few issues we faced were the Rooms/ Reception itself is like 5-7 minutes walk away from the main road, secondly there are mostly female staffs so you have to carry your luggage to your room on your own.. Yes I know that is not an issue, but here is the thing - There are no Lifts. My room was on the 2nd Floor and believe me we had 2 big size suitcases. The Breakfast was as usual good. There swimming pool is very nicely located in between the property. Rest all was good. We loved there Vegetarian Pizza. Thanks for the lovely memories.
The pool was clean, the rooms are big and clean, the staff was ok, there is a seven eleven in like 3 minutes away, they have a shuttle bus like 5 times a day, the downside is that the shops and the bout is a little far and you have to pass an hill.
This is a resort a KM away from aao nang market, you will get a bike on rent at the hotel itself with a reasonable price. The staff is friendly they helped me change my room at midnight as air conditioner was having issue, rooms are clean, big entrance. A budget property with a good comfort.
We also had read some of the reviews about Maleedee and as usual you can get a mixture. Initially we were unsure on arrival but soon realised we had made a good choice. The staff are very helpful and friendly from reception to breakfast and the shuttle bus too. The walk is about 15 minutes and downhill into Ao Nang for the beaches, ferry to Chicken Island etc. Breakfast has the usual choice of cereals, egg station, pastries and cooked food. There are places to eat within about 5 minutes if you want to go out but we ate here a few lunchtimes and everything was fine. Another couple had extended their stay as they were also enjoying the hotel and pool and everything there. All in all thank you to all at this lovely hotel.
Room was very comfortable and well equiped. Good king-sized bed. During our stay, a big amount of money and a headlamp disappeared from our backpacks, which means they were deliberately searched while we were gone. I know we're supposed to use the safe, but still !
Having a property nearby my GF and I are frequent visitors to Ao Nang and we have stayed in various properties here...as my family from the UK were visiting and with the UK currency being so poor against the baht they decided on the Maleedee resort,I have read many conflicting reports....mostly positive.....and I was unsure how it was going to be,we are here at this moment (booked 9 nights) and thoroughly enjoying our stay.....what we are getting for the price has exceeded our expectations and we would not hesitate to return again. If anyone looking for a good value peacefull location where the staff are friendly and helpfull look no further....the rooms/housekeeping are fine.....if you want luxury look elsewere and pay a premium price for it as we have done in the past.
We booked Maleedee through Booking.com for our trip to Krabi. We weren't quite sure of the distance from the hotel to town but based on the pictures and some good reviews, we felt it was a good choice as their price was quite affordable. We reached the hotel around 5 - 6 pm. The weather was not really good. Check in was fast, and we were brought to our room. The room was big but there was no water. We did not know what happened so we informed the staff that there was no water in the bathroom. Due to communication barrier (the staffs spoke limited English), we weren't able to understand the issue. Apparently, when the weather is bad, they frequently have water issue which they said would be resolved in a few hours. I was frustrated as I was tired from the long journey and couldn't take shower. We decided to go out and explore the city as there was nothing we could do at the hotel. They provide shuttle to Ao Nang beach 3-4 times a day based on their scheduled time. Quite a long walking distance to the beach area (meaning to the lively side of town). To go back to the hotel required us to hire a tuktuk which cost around 100-150 baht. If you want to spend less on the tuktuk, I recommend you get hotels closer to the town or beach area. There are so many hotels located in town, easy to walk around get food and explore the town. They didn't have buffet breakfast. You could only choose from 2 options; either bread or fried rice. To conclude, a bit far from the town, limited choice of breakfast, if luck is not on your side, you will get to experience their water issue. Regret our decision to book this hotel. Would have booked other if we could turn back time.…
The lady at the reception was mean, rude and basically horrible. There are actually 2 girls at the reception and this is specifically for only 1 of them. The other was really sweet and I really wish I knew her name so there was no confusion when writing this. On our last day we needed to extend our stay by a few hours since we were travelling with our parents and they were tired, and wanted a few hours rest before our flights the same night. We spoke to the receptionist for this and her first words were "YOU NEED TO PAY THE MONEY RIGHT NOW!!!!" Mind you this is at 8 a.m. in the morning with still 4 hours to our checkout. We told her to get the bill ready and we will pay in after we're back from the beach. But seems like the only English she knew was "YOU NEED TO PAY THE MONEY RIGHT NOW!!!!", because she kept repeating this like a broken record. We had to actually tell her in her tone that we weren't going to run away with the money and a few us were staying back anyways, just to shut her up. So we pay her HALF the ROOM's ACTUAL RENT just for 4 hrs and then comes her best, NO WATER NO CLEANING till our checkout. The others were really nice and we had a lovely stay at the place till she opened her mouth and completely ruined it for us.…
