We booked for dinner, bed and breakfast for a Valentine's break. We have been to Orford on many occasions when in Suffolk so decided to try a stay here at the Jolly Sailor and we were certainly not disappointed. Lovely warm welcome from a young man behind the bar who showed us to our beautiful room. And what a lovely...

Lovely old building full of interesting pictures and nic-nacs. Very busy on a Saturday lunch-time but we didnt have to wait long for our food. Fish pie was good and filling with generous portion of veg. Couldnt really manage anything else but the puddings looked very good! Staff were friendly and helpful. Recommended.

Very atmospheric bar complete with he olde fire place. Lovely place to have lunch. We had drinks and then I ordered fish & chips whilst my wife ordered chorizo salad meal. Both dishes were excellent and it was a pleasure eating in the bar even though there was a good restaurant room as well. We lingered there some time before...

Whilst spending some time with a friend from a different part of the country we spent an extremely pleasant few hours in Orford together with our dog enjoying the early Autumn sunshine. I have known this establishment for 40 odd years so we went in and decided to take our pick of the indoor seating where our dog was welcome....

A very nice pub, relaxed and providing good food. Anne and Janet had a scampi, which looked good and which they thoroughly enjoyed. Robert and I had pan fried chicken and a mixture of vegetables. I must say I enjoyed my meal but I am or so sure if Robert was impressed. He would certainly go there again though. Very...

A local pub for us, one we tend to take for granted ! But we rate it as a particularly nice 'Pub in Suffolk'. We have had a couple of dinners and several lunches there recently, Some friends visited us on 27 June, one of our group suggested we go out to eat in the evening, I put foreword the...

Just returned from a short stay in Orford. One of our many visits but we never leave without making our pilgrimage to the Jolly Sailor. A stone's throw from the Quay it is a traditional fisherman's haunt where you get a sense that not much has changed since smugglers strolled up from the quay! There are some contemporary updates of...
