I do not know where to even begin but from the minute we laid our eyes on the hotel and till the minute we left the staff was exceptional! The security staff greeted us with a smile & it's definitely a pleasant feeling since they are the 1st people we come across, Then we met Hiruni, Rowinta & Sadun who warmly welcomed us & made all the necessary arrangements for us for a lovely stay, Subodha the House Keeping Supervisor guided us to our lovely rooms which were very well clean & tidy, very impressed with the rooms & the modern technology system & Subodha helped us with our bags and whenever we needed anything he would make sure to deliver it without fail. We visited the Restaurant for lunch and was greeted by Harshana a supervisor who was very cheerful, helpful and delivered our meals on time. For breakfast, Chamindu & Suranga took well care of us, they were once again very cheerful, helpful and delivered our meals on time despite been a rush hour. I also want to thank the rest of the F&B team that took care of us during lunch & throughout our stay that never failed to deliver to our needs & always had a smile on their faces, each & every one of them did they're service exceptionally well which were 5star hotel quality standards.
A special thankyou to Mr.Pradeep the Manager on duty who always always had a smile on his face, he went out of his way to help us out and spoke to us most of the time & made sure we had a great time. He always attended to our needs and it was great meeting a humble personality like you. Thankyou Mr.Pradeep
Last but not least, Thankyou Chef.Upul, the food was extraordinary. It was fresh, it was worth the money and very tasty. Loved each & every one of your dish & we could really find nothing to complain about, every dish was presented well & made to perfection. Some of my family members couldn't have American breakfast for breakfast so they made arrangements for a Sri Lankan breakfast and it was prepared to perfection. Thankyou once again chef. Keep up the good work.
I would definitely recommend anyone to visit this resort Hotel, trust me you wouldn't regret it. Before we left the hotel, most of the staff including Mr.Pradeep & Chef.Upul came to bid us adeu. That itself speaks alot about the hospitality they displayed to us. I literally had no complains. The stay was magical. Thankyou Amora Lagoon for the best vacay ❤️❤️❤️

It was a beautiful place, the location was really amazing. The food was delicious and valuable for the price. The restaurant service was really good and everyone was friendly special thanks to the FOM Mr. Shanaka for being friendly and really helpful from the time we came. All of us enjoyed a lot. It's a good place to rest and go outing with family and friends.

Being natural scientists, both my self and Nipuni always prefer on the natural beauty to keep special moments in our life more memorable. This was one of the reasons why we selected the hotel Amora Lagoon for our wedding day, located near the Beautiful Negambo lagoon..Our wedding at Amora Lagoon was a blissful experience for us and our family. Hindana Ballroom is such an elegant design to accommodate 150+ guests and specious enough to create your dream day magical with decos and music. Food was absolutely delicious and more than worthy for your hard earned money..All the hotel staff including the manager Mr Pradeep is so friendly and respectful. Heart-fully recommend Amora Lagoon for your special day..

Nice hotel and grounds, very friendly staff and suitably priced for airport stop over for an early morning flight. Rooms are clean but dated, WiFi is adequate. Restaurant & bar very good and food excellent. Only a short 10-15 min trip to airport, maybe consider booking an Uber ( available in 15min @ 04:00) they are readily available and a third the cost of hotel transfer and won’t be 15 mins late.

Two one night stays, 10 days apart. Both entirely regretted.
1st stay, I had arranged hotel pick up from the airport via email. After a long wait at the airport and several unanswered calls to the hotel I was not collected. On checking in having had to take a taxi, via a longer than necessary route and having had to visit an ATM to be able to pay the taxi, I was informed the driver arranged by the hotel had refused to collect me when my flight was delayed and that they forgot to contact me to inform me as much.
2nd stay was the night before my 0720h flight out. After many assurances that there will be a taxi at 0400h to take me to the airport I went ro bed at 9pm but have endured what can only be compared to trying to sleep in the middle of a very poor quality rock concert from about 20m from the main amplifiers. I've hesrd/felt every beat and every note and it's now nearly 2am with no sign of it stopping. So much for any sleep before I go to the airport... if indeed a taxi shows up.
For quite a new hotel the rooms are also already neglected with stains on the walls, tatty plumbing, dirty shower tiles and chipped plaster work. It just feels like it needs a freshen up.
I had planned to swim when I checked in at sunset, but the pool had taken on a cloudy green tinge since last time so I opted to stay on dry land and avoid any chance of anything unpleasant before my flight.
I did have an evening meal but for the first time on my trip a portions size of fried rice was inadequate and I had to order more food.
Really sad because this should be the perfect airport hotel. It is not and I'd highly recommend staying elsewhere and saving your money.

Spend a week end with a group of 30 ppl, how ever I have mixed feeling, as we have not received the expected hospitality from the hotel.
But we had very tasty foods, which is worth to the price we paid.
There were few wedding functions happened at the hotel and due that security was very tough in allowing our vehicle to get in. No support from hotel staff to unload the baggages either.
When entered to the triple room, realized it has only 2 comfortable double beds , other one is just a sofa extended as a bed by connecting 3 cushion sheets. Next bad experience happened following day morning, when we realized no water is coming to wash rooms. Even the staff didnt say sorry about the trouble we all faced. Even Though our team want to have some outdoor activity, no any facility by hotel. Had to visit the supermarket out there to find a vollyball or badminton racket. We were fooled by the photo in website with a boat, assuming we could go for a boat ride.
There is a good pool and not crowded. Restaurant is good, had some good music there. But staff was trying to push us to take our meals very quickly proposing some time slots.
Rooms were cleaned.
If staff can be little more flexible and improve the hospitality, this nice physical property will get more value than this.

Went with bunch of friends for a day out , Food was not so tasty , Yellow rice & potato salad was very salty , Served by very young trainee waiters , Facilities were average .Not so impressive and for the buffet lunch they charge it’s not worth. Dessert were ok .
Waiter doesn’t have an understanding about the menu , messed up on our order too. Service was poor too.

Worst hotel I’ve stayed, not worth6 of 2star Rooms very bad service terrible food quality horrible I would not recommend this to anyone We had terrible experience with staff and restaurant. As vegetarians we had very little available during dinner. Only on request they attempted to make vegetarian soup very little other options

Visited with friends , Lunch buffet was terrible , dishes were salty and not worth for the price .Waiters are young trainees , Doesn’t understand the menus at all did a mess up with a order. Dessert was ok . Service given was average .

The food was excellent and so was the service. Mihiranga Dilshan was very friendly and helpful. We recommend this place. The food was good quality, the fruit drinks were fresh and sweet. The chicken with rosemary was delicious! The see food was very good as well.
