Was a lovely hotel but looking a little tired in places - we booked twin rooms but there is actually a double and single bed so is a triple room so paid for an extra room we didn't need as there were 3 of us. Food and drink was reasonable

This was a peaceful hotel set in a lovely village. The service was excellent and the food very tasty. The canal walk was a bonus. The benefits of Elite Club membership were much appreciated. Would have liked to stay longer.

This hotel has a small homely feel to it. We attended a dinner and cannot fault the food. Piping hot, excellently cooked and presented. Was still hot at the last mouthful. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, pleasant, smart and attentive Room was spacious, clean and quiet. Although bathroom was tiny. However the breakfast isn't worth a third...

Great stay and lovely evening meal with superb service. Only complaint is the charge for breakfast. £17:50 a head so £70.00 for family of four. Simply ridiculous and the staff were embarrassed when I asked them for confirmation. No problem though as Wetherspoons in nearby Warrington is smashing and we all ate and drank our fill for a mere £15!

We arrived late after travelling. Our room rate was over £20 more booking through a third party who say they can only publish what the price the hotel give them; the hotel said to take it up with the third party. Arrived in the room to find no hot water; as it was so late we just gave up and...

Very, very disappointing. The room was nothing like the pictures on the site, there was hardly room to swing a cat. The bathroom was tiny, the walls are so thin you can hear everything in the next room and I mean everything. We stayed for a long weekend and the Saturday night was a nightmare. There was a wedding and...
