Ideally situated for the best of both worlds - close to Edinburgh but 360 views of beautiful countryside. Hugely spacious and immaculate accommodation with everything we needed for a great stay over Hogmanay. So good, we've booked to stay again.

I spent a memorable weekend at Bankhead Farm, staying in The Byre with a group of friends, about 6 weeks ago. We really didn't want to go home on the Sunday! The facilities, at this self-catering accommodation, are superb. Everything one could possibly want, for a super weekend away, can be found at this hi-spec, well equipped house. The views...

Stayed on two occasions in the last 2 weeks. I can only say that my stay on my first visit was amazing and even better the following week when my I took my wife. This B & B is spotless and the hospitality from Robert is excellent. The double rooms are ample and furnished to a high standard and the...

Bankhead B&B stand on an elevated site which offers great views across the rambling hills- in the not too far distance you can glimpse the three bridges across the Firth of Forth reminding you that Edinburgh airport and Edinburgh city, as well as the neighbouring towns are easily reached. We stayed there only for a weekend, but it was all...

This B&B comes very highly recommended. The room and ensuite were huge (I had room number 10) and felt more like a five star hotel with access to a very nice lounge and kitchenette to prepare an evening meal. The breakfast was superb with an amazing array of choices of cereal, fruits, yogurts, etc.. The hosts, Robert and Heather, were...

Rurally located but only a few miles from Edinburgh city centre, Bankhead Farm is a very well-appointed B&B and self-catering accommodation facility. I stay here for just one night each spring to assist at a charitable function at the nearby Agricultural College. But, it would be great to stay longer - Bankhead Farm would make an excellent base for tourists...

Between Edinburgh and Glasgow, this working farm has everything to make a traveller comfortable. One wing can serve as a self-catering area with a complete kitchen, three bedrooms and a comfortable lounge with views across rolling green fields dotted with sheep. The dining room is large, the breakfast choices varied and delicious, with another view over the farm. The owners...

We stayed here on the last night of our trip to Scotland. It was the perfect way to end our holiday. A lovely setting in the countryside on a working farm. The room was modern, clean and very comfortable, with a large modern bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and homemade to order, including a wonderful rhubarb compote made by the host....

As a solo traveller on the occasion of a family funeral in West Lothian, I found Bankhead Farm to be a wonderfully warm and inviting haven from the chilly wintry weather. The bedroom and en--suite bathroom were first-class, scrupulously clean (very important to me) and the provision of a radio in the room, as well as a television, was a...

I stayed at this B&B on Monday night of this week, first class accommodation, so warm had to switch heating off. Tastefully decorated, great mattress on bed as I suffer from a bad back and it was so comfortable, great pillows also. There was a radio in the room was nice to have a bit of music first thing in...
