I stayed for a prolonged time at the Locanda and can only recommend it to anyone coming to the Modena region.
It is located in the small town of Nonantola, in itself worth at least a short visit, and only a 10 min drive away from Modena. Lorenza and her family who run this place are just the nicest people and really make an effort to make your stay relaxed and comfortable. They readily gave restaurant and sightseeing tips and offered to book tables as well. Unlike many other Italian hotels I have been to, the breakfast has a nice variety which is complimented by the really tasty cakes and breads created in the family-owned bakery (in the center of Nonantola). Together with Lorenza's skillfully and freshly made cappuccino you are given a great start into the day.

I'm here for trip purposes and this location is the perfect ont to rest in the evening, really close to the city but at the same time situated in a little forest that keeps you out of the pollution of the city.
Rooms are nice, cleaned and big, the structure is an old farm but really well restored. Nice!
