This deserves a 5* award for some of the best pub food I have had at very reasonable prices. Go on Friday and sample her fresh fish- I had the most amazing fresh cod in a lovely light batter- a large tail piece that I savoured every bite. My wife had a very tasty vegetarian chilli that sent the taste...

Four of us ate here first, and tried very different items from the menu. All were delicious, and beautifully presented. We couldn't believe our luck to have such a place on our doorstep. Next time, it was just as good, and the chips are to die for! We plan to go again in the next couple of days. Brilliant. Easily...

I've had lunch twice in the last week at The Dolphin Inn - always excellent. Fantastic home made burger the first visit and then a simple but delicious sausage sandwich with onion relish and excellent fresh bread. John and Dawn at The Dolphin believe in good quality, fresh ingredients and do them justice with their cooking. Plus the pub is...

Six of us had lunch at The Dolphin today. I was already a fan but the other five had never been before. They're now looking forward to a return visit in the Summer as everybody was impressed with the menu choice and the quality of the food served. The staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Well...

We were walking Offa`s Dyke in the depths of winter. The Dolphin is situated a few yards off the route, so is ideal for weary walkers. Our ensuite accommodation was plain but perfectly adequate, and the provision of fresh milk with the tea facilities (instead of the usual processed capsules) was a very pleasing touch. The staff were all very...

I'll be honest, when we moved to this village, we thought that The Dolphin Inn was just another village pub. As we are not big drinkers, we took a while to discover it's secret..... The restaurant food is all home cooked and in a different league from the normal 'pub grub'. The food is delicious and the folk cooking it...

A group of us visited the dolphin for a three course Christmas dinner. The food was just amazing, it came out hot and was cooked to perfection. The staff were all so friendly and couldn't do enough for us, will certainly return. Thank you all and wishing you a very merry Christmas.

We arrived late one evening, ready to walk the next section of Offa's Dyke. John and Dawn who run the pub were AMAZING super accommodating hosts with loads of good stories and laughs. Great beer, good wine, free wifi and a very comfy room. In the morning, John got up extra early to prepare us a fantastic breakfast so that...

Four of us booked a table in the bar for a meal. The pub is dog friendly and ours joined us sitting quietly at our feet. We started with a fish pot and it was delicious. Then for mains we had fish and chips (well it was a Friday evening) gammon, chicken pie and goats cheese tart from the specials...
