We ended up in this area by mistake trying to book a stay in Pitlochry online. However, our experience at The Inn on the Tay was part of a happy mistake. We had dinner seated next to the window where we could watch the river and the kayakers going through the course. The food, drink, and service were all excellent....

This was just an overnight stop on my way to Elgin but a lovely wee place to stay, food was excellent room was lovely and a cosy wee bar to relax in. Right on the Tay I had the chance to watch some canoeists tackling the rapids, just amazing. And to top it off the chocolatier is just across the...

This was recommended to us by a family member and we thought we'd give it a try on our way to Aviemore. Lovely place with amazing views of the Tay. The meal was excellent, the staff were very friendly and attentive, making sure we enjoyed our meal. We will definitely be back.

Stayed here for two nights as a base to explore the area. Was right next to the river Tay. Rooms were fine and the food excellent! Had the pulled pork salad which was fabulous! Staff very friendly. Visited Pitlochry from here.

The Inn is right beside the rapids on the Tay, where they hold kayak competitions. Even with the double glazing, you can still hear the river. The hotel is just over the road from the Highland Chocolatier and close to Strathtay Golf Club. The bedrooms are enormous, suitable for groups, or families in particular, and there is a child play...

We stayed two nights in a big room facing the river, and the inn is in a lovely spot. We would have like breakfast to be a buffet style for cereals, fruit, juice and yogurts. Before ordering your Cooked options. Dinners at night the service was very good one day and very slow the next day. Staff were friendly. Worth...

We had a meal here one evening as we were staying just up the road in Strathtay. The location is super right on the banks of the river as the name suggests. The restaurant was empty when we went thus lacking a little atmosphere (it was early evening though). The food we had was pretty good my partner had steak...
