This rural complex, in the grounds of an old estate, was just wonderful. True Perthshire lush ambiance. The cottages were built against the 'Walled Garden' wall, so a slightly eccentric configuration with their rear wall being that of the garden wall. However, they were brand new - ours with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms - ideal for us and our...

Just back from a weekend at The Meikleour Arms for the Ryder Cup. We stayed in the cottages which are a 5 minute walk from the hotel and are furnished with everything you need. We had breakfast and dinner both days and the food was delicious, the bar is also very well stocked and there was a great atmosphere on...

Very good comfortable hotel. The restaurant/food is good and reasonably priced so no need to get in the car and start searching for a local hostelry in the evening. Our room was big and so was the bathroom with a good shower. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Ample off road parking at the hotel. The cooked breakfast was...

Stayed for two nights and had a relaxing time. Although the decor in the room was a bit dated, it was perfectly clean and the bathroom fitted out very well. Lovely Arran Aromatics toiletries! Dinner was good, although not the cheapest. The nibbles of pork scratching and cheese straws were delicious. All food was freshly cooked. Pork belly worth trying....

Stopped off for lunch. Just what you want from a country inn. Good quality food, good service, inviting ambience and a nice pint. Will definitely return. Good to note you can book a table as it's busy and if you have to travel any distance to visit the inn you'd be disappointed if you didn't get a table.

We were lucky enough to have 3 lovely nights in the cottages a short distance from the hotel. Beautiful location, spotted a deer as we drove in on the first night. So quiet, lovely decor and facilities. We had a good breakfast each morning at the hotel, with good choice and lots of friendly chats with the staff and fishermen...

Came for a couple of nights after Glasgow and the Commonwealth Games and found good service, good food and the perfect conditions to down tools for a couple of days. Recommended as a place to relax or pursue a variety of outdoor sports.

This was our first time here and we were absolutely delighted with our "new find"! Our room was large and very well-appointed, the setting is wonderfully tranquil, the food is of a very high standard and exceptionally reasonably priced. Above all, and without exception, the staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble for them, despite being incredibly busy...
