I lived close by when I was younger and never went to the Meiklour Arms. Eventually got round to it in January 2015 and it was well worth the wait. Staff were friendly and efficient and the food was great. Sat in the bar which did start to get busy just as we were finishing up so best sit in...

We stayed here for two nights whilst skiing up in Glenshee. We couldn't have felt more at home. Roaring log fire, friendly and attentive staff, tasty pub grub and a large bedroom with a really comfy bed. Will rush back.

Dear Alexander I am saddened to hear that you felt your visit with us was a "disappointment" and " have never in my life had a night out like that in my life. " I am puzzled to hear that you were told that you only had an hour with the table and yet the food was served cold. We...

This is a lovely home from home. This hotel and restaurant was recommended by our friends who live locally. The food (evening meal & breakfast) and the room exceeded our high expectations. Our room was homely, comfortable with a pleasant decor. The evening meal and breakfast were delicious. The open fire in the breakfast room added that extra comfort. All...

We stayed in the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom cottage with our two teenage children in the October half term. It was absolutely fantastic, it had a modern feel. It was warm and very clean and really well equipped. It was nearly a 2 minute drive to the hotel and more than a 5 minute walk in the dark if going...

This rural complex, in the grounds of an old estate, was just wonderful. True Perthshire lush ambiance. The cottages were built against the 'Walled Garden' wall, so a slightly eccentric configuration with their rear wall being that of the garden wall. However, they were brand new - ours with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms - ideal for us and our...

Just back from a weekend at The Meikleour Arms for the Ryder Cup. We stayed in the cottages which are a 5 minute walk from the hotel and are furnished with everything you need. We had breakfast and dinner both days and the food was delicious, the bar is also very well stocked and there was a great atmosphere on...

Very good comfortable hotel. The restaurant/food is good and reasonably priced so no need to get in the car and start searching for a local hostelry in the evening. Our room was big and so was the bathroom with a good shower. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Ample off road parking at the hotel. The cooked breakfast was...

Stayed for two nights and had a relaxing time. Although the decor in the room was a bit dated, it was perfectly clean and the bathroom fitted out very well. Lovely Arran Aromatics toiletries! Dinner was good, although not the cheapest. The nibbles of pork scratching and cheese straws were delicious. All food was freshly cooked. Pork belly worth trying....
