I called in for a quick lunch, and was met by a friendly staff member. I sat by the roaring fire and enjoyed an excellent light lunch together with superb service. Good food and service at reasonable prices.

Wow, stayed in one of the cottages that are a 10 minute walk away from the actual hotel. These cottages are finished to a very high standard nice and secluded if you want a base away from main roads etc. staff in the hotel were fantastic, making you welcome the minute you walk through the door. Small country pub/restaurant, traditional and very welcoming. We had fab afternoon coffee and scones there. It was so good we went back for dinner! The four of us were really impressed with everything we had, I have never had such a tender and well cooked steak. The staff were great too. Next time we're in Perthshire we will certainly go...

Booked this as a stop on the way down from the Highlands, but a few miles out warning lights come on with engine problems. This takes your mind off what you wanted a nice relaxed evening with a glass of beer and something nice to eat. We get to the hotel and find their boiler has broken down and they...

We stayed for just one day. Not the cheapest of accommodation but worth every penny. The rooms were nicely fitted out and clean. We loved the added extras including the biscuits, sweets and sherry. Also appreciated having fresh milk rather than the usual UHT stuff. The pub had a lovely cosy feel to it, and relaxing outside space. Staff were...

Unfortunately we couldn't sit out in the garden- not quite warm enough. However, the warm welcome made up for the outside conditions. A choice of little nibbly things is a great way to start a meal. It is lovely to find a country pub where the food is fresh and imaginative. My only problem was making up my mind.

Dear Tigger Thank you for your recent review and the lovely comments. Apologies for the fickle nature of our Scottish summers, it is unfortunate because our lawn is a fabulous place to sit and enjoy a pint from one of the local breweries and watch the world go by. I certainly hope that the next time your in the area...

This charming hotel bar serves a surprising range of sophisticated food. It well above average pub food getting close to fine dining. The service was very friendly and efficient. It's not the cheapest place to eat but it is certainly one of the best in the area. Thoroughly recommended.
