We had a room on the top floor, with ensuite and large balcony. Very spacious and comfortable, warm in late winter. Typically great French breakfast with fantastic home made jams. Very nice host who was kind enough to leave us a box of chocolates as we arrived very late and all the restaurants in the village were closed.

Centrally located just underneath Domme, 15-20 minutes from Sarla and 5 minutes from La Roque Gageac, makes it a perfect place to be the home base for trips around the Dordogne and Lot. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and go out of their way to provide the small things that make the vacation perfect. We had room number 1 which is the one with the balcony. While we didn't use it to much, seating in the afternoon looking at the yellow/orange light on the village across and mountain is beautiful. This is a huge room, but according to a strange French tradition (?) the toilette are separate from the shower. in this case two other sides. The house, the room and the furniture are decorated with a very charming touch adding to to the magic. small things that need retouch. The parquet floor in the room is very very noisy waking up the entire house. The room needs some ventilation out as it is completely noise sealed.

We booked here for one night - and enjoyed it so much we stayed for two! Great location, immaculately clean and very comfortable. Some great restaurants in walking distance too. The hosts made us so welcome and a wonderful breakfast each day was the icing on the cake. We will certainly visit again.

When you first enter there is a slight smell of damp but do not let that put you off. This is a wonderful little b&b. The hosts are charming and nothing is too much trouble. The place is clean and homely. Not 5* in the 5* sense but definitely 5*. The breakfast was fresh daily and the homemade oranges to die for, so refreshing. The rooms were clean and tidy and to hear the traffic you must have your head stuck outside the window. With the shutters closed, the outside world dies. Perfect base to visit this region, perfect hosts and perfect quaint and traditional b&b. Loved it. Return? Without a doubt.

We loved staying 2 nights at this charming B&B in the center of Cenac St. Julien, right next to the Mairie (town hall). This quaint town is right on the banks of the scenic river with very close proximity to picturesque Dromme on the cliff above and gorgeous Sarlat which is a 10 minute drive North. Our English speaking host was very friendly and gracious. Our room (#1) had a lovely terrace over looking the village center, with space for a small table and chairs. A great place for a glass of wine. The traditional charming French decor was tasteful, the bed comfortable and the shower was modern with good water pressure and temperature control. Breakfast was served in a pleasant light filled room over looking the flowers and trees in the large garden. The traditional French breakfast of baguette, croissants, juice and coffee was fresh and delicious. With a wonderful La Traverse restaurant on the diagonal corner and outstanding Sawadee Thai just a short walk towards the river, there is plenty of excellent dining within 2 blocks. Very highly recommended!
