My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of our ‘Mini moon’ after getting married in France a week earlier The place is outstanding! The decor is finished to such a high standard- the pictures don’t really do it the justice it deserves The spa was a big draw for us as on one particular rainy day we could have access to this.and as there’s only four rooms you really feel like you’ve hired a private Chateau/ Spa Thierry and Anne-Marie are great hosts! Anne-Marie’s home made cakes are lovely! Thierry was very kind and ordered us taxis into recommended nearby restaurants. One night he even ordered us pizza to collect! I would really recommend this place- I can’t fault it!

Amazing chateau in beautiful parkland. Ultra modern interior which may not be to everyone's taste but this is apparent from the photos. Very friendly and helpful hosts. As there are only 4 rooms and we were two couples we felt like we were staying in our own private chateau with staff! Plentiful breakfast served by the owners with cold buffet and eggs made to order. We were invited to help ourselves to anything from the kitchen all day -drinks, cake, fruit which was lovely. Pool area beautiful and comfortable and again we never had to share it. Very good restaurants nearby. Only downside I can think of is pool access not easy. Metal steps too short and slippery and older visitors would find this difficult. They might consider improving this. Would definitely return.

I’m still missing Chateau Maraval and it’s kind, attentive and wonderful hosts over a week later. My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights during our honeymoon. My expectations were blown away the moment we pulled up. I could go on listing the highlights of the accommodations for hours. The place is quiet with limited guests and no children; the pool is beautiful and clean; the spa and hot tub are out of this world amazing (even with mood lighting!); the rooms are modern, spacious and cool; the bathrooms are high tech with good water pressure; and the breakfast is delicious (ask for the fried eggs!) But let’s talk about Thierry and Anne-Marie. One couldn’t ask for more lovely, helpful and attentive hosts. They helped plan our itinerary, made spot on restaurant recommendations, and overall were a joy to be around. We’ll miss them more so than even their gem of a hotel. I would come back to the Dordogne region of France just to stay here again. An absolute must book if you’re thinking of coming here.

We spent 2 nights in this amazing property, could easily have stayed longer and hope to return soon. From the moment you drive through the gates and up the shady gravel drive, you know that you that you’re in for something special. The building and grounds are simply stunning and surrounded by mature trees, the only sound is birdsong. The interior has been completely renovated with such a sense of flair and style and with such attention to detail that you know you are in safe hands. The facilities are excellent - a large heated swimming pool, beautiful garden, relaxing lounge and dining areas with coffee, drinks and home made cake and even a gym and spa all beautifully decorated and appointed. The whole place is immaculately maintained and spotlessly clean. The rooms are beautiful and original-we stayed in the ‘Ethnique’ room which had an african-inspired theme and an outstanding bathroom in one of the chateau’s turrets. Anne-Marie and Thierry are so friendly and helpful, they really make the stay special - nothing is too much trouble, they genuinely want you to have the best time and their suggestions for restaurants and places to visit are spot on. Oh and the breakfast is excellent! They have done a fantastic job with this hotel and we wish them much success. We can’t wait to return.

It was a real privilege to stay in the klimpt room at this internally modern but outside commanding chateau. Having been to Vienna to a klimpt exhibition the gold and white interior was great as was the real attention to detail throughout. The owners were ultra helpful and was a complete delight. Well done Thierry and Ann Marie. Bravo !!
