The host was very kind and helpful. Warm welcoming and offered us tea and baked cakes after our day of hiking. She offered to drive us to the restaurant down the busy road later. She served a hearty breakfast with lots of fresh fruit, cheese, home baking and a full Scottish breakfast. I slept comfortably and got a good rest...

Not far off the trail, Frances was a welcoming host who was willing to run us out for an evening meal and provided tea and cakes on arrival. Also a lovely, varied breakfast and a tasty large packed lunch. There was a separate comfy lounge with TV for guests use, and although the bathroom was shared with another couple, we...

Very comfy and convenient for walking the Great Glen Way. Frances the host was very friendly and helped us with local information. The rooms were nice and clean and cosy although an en-suite bathroom would have been better the shared bathroom was spacious and well kept. The shower was great. There was a nice lounge to relax in the evening...

We stayed whilst walking the Great Glen Way. Frances was extremely welcoming, and provided hot drinks and cake on arrival which was definately needed after a long walk from Fort William. She also gave us a lift to get an evening meal and her breakfast was just what we needed for the a days walk. Unfortunately there is only 1...

We mountainbiked the GGW the first days of June this year and stayed one night at Lilac Cottage owned by Frances. Frances is a first class host with extensive experience in b & b in her cozy little home. Dont expect a five star hotel but enjoy a five star original B&B as it should be in countryside cottage. Helpful...

I stayed here while walking the Great Glen Way. Our host, Frances was very friendly and made us all tea and home made biscuits on arrival. If you are walking the way the B&B is about 1 mile along the way from South Laggan locks so leave a bit extra time. The room itself was clean and spacious but did...

The reason to visit this place is called Francis. She is such a lovely, helpful and caring elderly lady that in 'Service' she actually deserves six stars. The minute we arrived we were asked whether we would like some tea or coffee. It was accompanied by two kinds of homemade cake - wonderful. Next thing she offered us was a...
