Great location, Elie beach is beautiful. Lodge was fine, spacious but very cold on arrival. Pool was very small but lots of other facilities, table tennis, badminton, snooker, pool, lovely gardens. Friendly staff. Lots of rabbits running around!

This was our best vacation in the over 20 years of RCI travels. The resort was wonderful with lots of history and a very helpful staff. Having an on-site restaurant was delightful after a long day of travel. But the nearby town pubs (esp Ship Inn in Ellie) were also

Awful downmarket place. Castle much vaunted on the website is closed. It is used for weddings in the summer so if you are holidaymakers in the schools holidays you will have to negotiate wedding parties. The 'castle suites' are NOT in the castle just grey cheap flats behind the

So fancied trying this for some time. Opportunity came up and grabbed it. £100 for Dinner, B&B and the Murder Mystery opportunity in a grand old oak-panelled room in this magnificent estate in the East Neuk of Fife. Love the East Neuk...stunning scenery and coastal walks.

stain on very old thin spare duvet - stain is yellow. nasty. the whole room is weird with a carpeted bath in the room. Awful.
sitting room is also very 1989... terrible shabby furnishings and this lamp with broken and stained shade
in the bedroom - very 1989 - old carpet step up to bath which has carpet on its sides. weird. The bath is beside a waste basket and a teeny ancient TV. Horrible and very weird. Curtains thin and shows light through them

Is there a friendly central area at night for kids to meet friends and adults to have a drink
There is a small area around a bar, and a larger area of seating outside the bar. Not really a meeting place. There is a play room, but it is for very young kids, and it is poorly supplemented with old toys. The area around the pool, and gym etc is where most kids would meet, and there is a table tennis table available. This area is not far from the bar.

Is there a bar area on site that is walking distance for the lodges and are children welcome there?
There is a bar in the same place as breakfasts and meals are. Walkeable from lodges. Not sure about children as we didn't go in but when place is fairly family oriented.
