What a fantastic day spent here. It was our first visit here and I was such a good choice. We took 4 of our mums here and they were given such an amazing service. We were helped a lot by Andrew Kyriakou who was very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Will be visiting more often.

We had an amazing time at this hotel. We booked a table for Mother's Day-we hadn't visited the hotel before so we didn't know what to expect- but from the moment we walked In, we were greeted with very friendly and hospitable staff. Our waiter Andrew couldn't do enough for us, he was very attentive and helpful. He made the...

Recently held a family gathering with varying needs across four generations. The assistance and advice provided for planning the event was excellent - well done Sara! The room was arranged beautifully and the staff welcoming, friendly and attentive through the day. I would highly recommend West Lodge Park Hotel!

My husband and I spent a lovely relaxing time at West Lodge – we had lunch in the bar on Saturday, dinner in the Mary Beale Restaurant Saturday evening, spent a relaxing night in the Chestnut Lodge and enjoyed a lovely breakfast and then lunch on Sunday. As always the food was fabulous – my husband said the scallops he...

What a lovely review of West Lodge Park, thank you so much ! It was such a pleasure to welcome you both back to the hotel, and I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us again. As I write the sun is shining, the daffodils are all out, and the thousands of trees in the Beale Arboretum are...

Room 36. Described as having a walk-in power shower. Well, a cubicle shower enclosure with a door doesn't quite fit the 'walk in' description for me. The shower head is clumsy, not really adjustable, therefore, the shower is like standing in a phone box with the roof off in the rain. We got a complimentary 'tiny' bottle of milk, which,...

Thank you for your review of bedroom 36 at West Lodge Park following your recent stay. We define a walk in shower as one that is not over the bath, so the shower is indeed a walk in shower. The whole of the bathroom was refitted last year with new bath, new taps, new basin, new shower head etc, and...

The hotel is drab and dull. Room noisy, bed cheap and uncomfortable.sink blocked. Food was not fresh/sent back ,no apology. Wine bad and overpriced. I asked for a coffee, before I left for a long drive. Sorry sir you have to take a seat and wait until I can get to you! Well past it's best.

We are sceptical of the veracity of this review, and believe it to be a malicious or troll review. The previous 20 reviews have rated West Lodge Park as 91/100 possible points, or 91%. We have no record of a blocked sink, the hotel is neither drab nor dull, the beds are the most expensive on the market, the wine...

Welcoming staff, comfortable public areas, good size room and excellent restaurant. Possibly a small fridge would have been useful, other than that, very high standards in every aspect. Very extensive gardens

Thank you for your kind review of West Lodge Park, following fifteen years of visits, I am glad we have looked after you so consistently well over this period. For quiet rooms, I always steer towards end of corridor locations on upper floors, such as single room 62, classic doubles such as 8 and 49, executive doubles such as 7...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
West Lodge Park Hotel is a beautiful country house hotel set in 35 acres of grounds on the edge of North London. It has been owned and run by three generations of the Beale family since 1945 and now has 59 bedrooms, the Mary Beale Restaurant and Terrace Bar, 8 stunning banqueting rooms, and plentiful free parking. The hotel is located just a mile from Cockfosters Tube station where there is a large car park and frequent trains on the Piccadilly Line to all the sights of central London. Around the hotel is the magnificent Beale Arboretum, with over 800 species of trees from around the world, 2 national collections of hornbeams and swamp cypresses, and plentiful hard paths and interpretive signage. The hotel is also home to the Edward Beale collection of Old master paintings, most of which have been painted by the ancestor of the family, Mary Beale, who was Britain's first professional woman artist, painting at the time of Charles II. It would be a pleasure to welcome you to this beautiful hotel. Andrew BealeManaging DirectorBeales Hotels ... more   less
