As someone has already said, this pub could be a gold mine, given it is in a cashed up area, and an ideal local - a rarity these days. It used to be great, and the food was delicious. However now it is tired, decaying and in need of freshening up big time. We don't want it to become a...

Not an especially friendly welcoming pub at all- which is a shame as with so many families in the area, it could be a goldmine if it were family friendly and had a revamp and a better menu. Instead it's a tired , rather ugly pub inside, and we've never been made to fee very welcome in the handful of...

Stayed here for 2 weeks whilst on business. The ensuite room I had both times, room 1, is clean but the plumbing is hit and miss especially the shower both temperature control and pressure. 3 sets of steep stairs to rooms, Wi-fi also hit and miss, otherwise an ok stay.

I booked this hotel as a last minute online, and was pleasantly surprised. The bedroom was recently refurbished, and was clean and tidy. It was very good value for money, a great cooked breakfast, I would make the effort to stay here again if I was in the area.

Just had one night, didn't stay for breakfast so can't comment on that. Bathroom was spotless but sadly the shower didn't work properly and had only one temperature..scalding hot. Breakfast times on the weekend are 9:00-10:00 which is no good if you need an early start.

Plain, but clean room with a comfortable bed. Modern bathroom with a walk in shower. Also a decent size TV on the wall. Two flights of steep stairs to the room. Good pub with good beer Excellent breakfast, only down side is no meals in the evening.

We chose the Hadley as it is convenient for visiting relatives and after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed; the room was large with a high ceiling, a large comfortable bed.and sufficient storage. The day we arrived had been quite warm and the room was very hot as a result, but we opened the window wide and...

We love the pub, it is still a traditional kind of pub (which are very few and far between) - A couple of fridays' ago we had a fantastic fish and chip lunch which was fresh fish and not the frozen kind.and proper chips. It was delicious. There were about 7 of us and we all enjoyed the food. Steve...

“Our room was number 4, overlooking the front on the second floor - it was very functional and immaculately clean. Tea/coffee etc in the room, plus a fan (it was quite humid and the fan was brilliant).”
