This is our go-to hostel in San Jose due to the great staff, perfect location, welcoming atmosphere, and affordable prices. We stop through San Jose about every 2 weeks for work and always look forward to staying at Casa del Parque. The staff are incredibly helpful, numerous occasions they have gone far out of their way to help us when...

I arrived here without notice and was greeted with a warm welcome by staff. My room was large and comfortable and the entire house is imbued with an old world charm. The central location is excellent, facing a lovely urban park and walking distance to the cities main attractions. I hope to return one day.

Always happy to see Federico, Roger and Johnathan, they seem like family. Ran into lots of old timers we were happy to meet again, I can't complain about the best and cleanest rooms, the warm reception and that gorgeous garden.

Staff were super helpful, great kitchen, clean, hot showers and relaxed/homely atmosphere. Dorm was good value for money. We were in walking distance to shops and ATM, was fine walking around at night. It was a great spot for us to unwind in-between two long bus rides. There is a nice chill out room with cable and garden is lovely....

This hostel was a dream to arrive at! You walk into a huge hall way with a lovely staircase and head on through to the cosy sitting room, well equipped kitchen and pretty garden. The staff are very friendly and the owner is lovely, makes you feel very welcome in this grand home. We stayed in the dorm as it...

Arrived here with my BF and immediately had to run inside to check if our taxi driver was ripping us off... Jonathan came out, told the driver he WAS ripping us off and ensured we didn't over pay! (Guy tried to charge us 8000 from the bus station and it should be 1500-3000). The room was huge! Could have done...

The owner was really friendly and he helpt us with ordering food and a taxi. The dorm is clean and spacey. I was there for 1 night but i really liked it! The only thing was that there was 1 bathroom and shower and there were walking pets in the dorm.

Niece and I needed a reasonably priced, quiet place to stay. SHE WAS NOT EVEN FEELING THE WORD "HOSTEL". When the shuttle pulled up, we both breathed a sigh of relief. It's hip, swanky and lovely....all rolled into one. It's a re-purposed magnificent old mansion. And the TOP POINT, it is quiet and clean and spacious. We are not teen...

This hostel was one of my most favorites that I stayed at during my time in Costa Rica. My boyfriend and I enjoyed it so much, we slept here every time our travels brought us through San Jose. The entire staff is hospitable and friendly, and they will answer any questions you may have about your next destination or interesting...
