We have visited the Lodge a number of times for meals over the years but this was our second stay and we were very happy. Great reception/ remembered by the staff and warmly welcomed. Great food and selection of main courses but the desserts are wonderful!! Room was comfortable and well maintained.

Mum's 80th was celebrated here. Parents know owners quite well so meal was planned beforehand. Very prompt service as a result. Delicious homely food. Excellently presented. They cater for all types of event from weddings to Birthday parties. Also have rooms for the night - very luxurious by all accounts but not tried out personally. Nothing too much trouble! Quite...

Went for lunch, food is lovely and service is good. Three meals and three drinks all for £42. We were in the conservatory which thankfully they had opened the main door letting a bit of a breeze in. Downside and this is just me they had a wedding on and the bagpipes where practising.

Lots to choose from albeit a little expensive but that will keep any riff raff out. Service was brill and the food was delicious. Ample parking . Don't drive past call...

The food and the location are spot on. The food is of good quality and locally sourced where possible. The open fire in the main restaurant is really warming and is a good place to sit when it's cold outside.

Warm and welcoming atmosphere from the minute we arrived. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a wonderful Hen weekend - day time activities well organised. Dinner served in private room with log fire! Sunday loop walk ( three varying lengths depending on fitness ) finishing at farm barn where we had a picnic lunch. Homemade soup, sandwiches, cakes, fresh fruit...

We booked for afternoon tea for our family of 8 from Grandparents to toddler, the food was really fresh and tasted amazing, we were offered unlimited tea and coffee. This was served in vintage crockery which was quite charming. 1 member of our family was unable to make it but the staff very kindly wrapped up our left over cakes...

We have gad lovely coffee and breakfasts here before so took friends with us the menu had breaded and battered haddock and my friend only likes breaded if having fish. The starters were lovely although small portion wise, my friend's fish was like a frazzled lump on top of chips very hard and crusty that when she managed to cut...
