I booked us into eat here for Easter Sunday. 4 Adults 2 children. Having phoned to book end of January (and being informed that I as the first booking) I thought I better check the day before that my booking was there! To be told they had no booking for us, not a great start. We were told they could...

This was a last minute booking for a one night stopover. We arrived at about 8pm and were warmly welcomed. The restaurant was still open (until 9pm) and so we booked a table for 8.45pm. Our room was clean and cosy and overlooked the garden and hills. The decor was very pleasant and there was a lovely feel to the...

We had a lovely room with views over the garden. It was a good size room with very comfy super king size bed but also a pointless roll top bath in the room itself. The space would have been better used to put a sofa in. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the food was very good and the...

What a beautiful spot, by the bridge over the river Monmow. Beautiful window boxes full of spring flowers, service was very friendly and welcoming on what must have been a busy service. Roast lunches superb, and hake with risotto 😋

We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at The Bell. Staff are attentive and friendly. Room was elegant in decor. Bed very comfortable. Fresh coffee and shortbreads etc in room was much appreciated. Nice bathroom A big step up to bath and then step over to shower - care is needed here. Wi-fi very good. Robes available. Flat screen tv that...

Stayed for a late autumn break for a few nights. Very comfortable room with massive four poster bed. Bathroom on mezzanine level up stairs in room . At the front with view of the road and river Monmow but not at all noisy at night. Good walking county. Food decent and enjoyable although not the level the menu might suggest...

We returned to the Bell after approximately 10 years, shouldn`t have left it so long! Our room, Tups Indispensible, overlooked the garden. It was spacious with a comfortable superking bed and a large bathroom with walk-in shower. The bath was in the bedroom. not my favourite feature but there was no need to use it. The food was generally good...

On the border of Herefordshire and Monmouthshire nestled in the Monnow valley lies the Bell next to the medieval Skenfrith Castle. A romantic setting by any standards. We try to get to the Bell at least once a month to enjoy the lovely food, which is locally sourced and cooked to a high standard.Local beer and cider is a must...

Stayed for a long weekend break and were delighted with everything about The Bell. Comfortable room, very helpful friendly and efficient Staff, lovely food and a great wine list that is very reasonably priced last but not least, very dog friendly. There are also some excellent walks straight from the door, would thoroughly recommend The Monnow River Walk.

I booked an overnight stay with my two sons, their families and husband to celebrate my Birthday. It has the most idyllic setting, with stunning walks in every angle. The pub/ hotel has been beautifully refurbished. The rooms were extremely generous. We had a meal in the restaurant which was perfect. Little touches in the bedrooms made our visit very...
