Everything about this stay was excellent. We were greeted on arrival and quickly taken to our room. was spotless and very comfortable. We opted for the seven course faster menu and were not disappointed. The food was beautiful and the staff were attentive and knowledgable. Even though this place is a bit out of the way it was worth the...

Having used this Restaurant for its accommodation a couple of years ago and only having a breakfast, we always said it would be nice to stay over for an evening meal. So to celebrate my birthday we drove down the wye valley which has stunning scenery and arrived at our allotted time at "The Whitebrook" if your looking for a...

We will return as the food is outstanding. Chris, the chef, is quiet and unassuming (perhaps shy?), but he did come out and chat. His wife also was around in the morning, with their six month old daughter. I wasn't as impressed with the two male staff in the evening - one seemed to be the 'main man' and the...

Super food and excellent warm friendly service. We were celebrating a family event so this was a special treat. The food was amazing....local ingredients and freshly foraged herbs resulting in wonderful and beautiful dishes. Added praise for catering beautifully for a fussy eater in our party. Magnificent!

Quite possibly THE very best food and dining experience I have ever had, anywhere in the world, in my life. Thank you for ensuring that every moment of our visit was 5* in all senses, from the bespoke gin cocktails to the foraged ingredients from the Wye Valley. A pared-back but luxurious setting and gentle pace of the testing menu...

Good sat nav and do not chicken out when you think you are going into wilds of Wales. Well worth it. Friendly staff made welcome and great food for dinner. The hotel is reached along a narrow winding road through the Wye valley. Our room was one of four that have been recently renovated to a high standard. The building is old so expect some creaking of beams as people move around. This aside the location is quiet and the gardens and river idyllic and close to the majestic Tintern...

Let me start by saying that I do not normally give a bad review, but I feel I have received better service in a fast food restaurant than on our visit, and looking at previous reviews, I am not alone. We visited as a party of 6 for Sunday lunch and unfortunately came away with half empty stomachs and list...

Gorgeous area in the Wye valley with a short circular walk straight from the hotel that's well worth it. Nicely kept rooms with a great big bath in the room we had. Breakfast was delicious and everything locally sourced.
