We called in here for a mid week lunch. The rooms both bar and lounge were warm and welcoming. there was a good choice of three real ales on offer as well as a few lagers and a great coffee range. We ate in the lounge which was very cosy and warm, we opted for the two course lunch menu...

It's been a while since I last ate at The Beaufort in Raglan and there's been some notable changes. I came away thinking that The Beaufort doesn't know what it is. I think it's trying to be more restaurant focused but with the pub background. In my opinion this let's the place down. There's a pleasant dining area, which unfortunately...

Went here with friends for an evening meal. It was very busy (over Xmas) and there was a nice ambience. Went in to the restaurant for the meal. The choice was excellent and reasonably priced with a good specials board. The restaurant is much better under the new owners, as previously it was an unwelcoming atmosphere. Also quality of food...

Lovely atmosphere, great staff food average. I had the spicy sausage with potatoes to start which were tasty but the juice was really greasy. Chicken for main again average nothing special the best part was the deep fried cauliflower really nice.. would go back and maybe try something different..

Absolutely gorgeous meal. We hadn't booked and just popped in on the off chance. They were fully booked but managed somehow to squeeze us in. Service and food was exceptional... and only £25 per head for 2 courses. We both had the lamb fillet which was fabulous! Would definitely recommend this restaurant. Can't wait to return !! 10/10 for this...

Firstly I'd say the conference room used was very spacious and offered comfortable seating Secondly, the rest of the hotel didn't match the nice conference room. The bedroom we had was Ok, the bed a little hard but nonetheless comfortable. However the rooms were cold as was the water for a shower. The water was just tepid so much so...

Super and reasonably priced food served by sensible Spanish and Portuguese staff and cooked by Spanish chefs. How nice to find well trained restaurant staff. Owner has great history in South Wales and it shows

We had supper for four 70 year olds on a Saturday in late-January. It was busy and lively. Food was good pub quality. Service not brilliant - our waitress couldn't see our table ! Overall a good experience.

Arriving a little early for our 8p.m. reservation on Wednesday last, we were surprised to be ignored for 3/4 minutes. Eventually we were shown to a table and left to wait for the remainder of our party without even being offerred a drink. We managed to attract attention to order drinks which were poured & left on the bar until...

Just had one of the most enjoyable meals we can remember - and our memories are pretty good despite the advancing years. Between us we had avocado salad and charcuterie for starters and pan fried haddock and hake with pan fried red peppers for mains. ALL were top class, particularly the hake with red peppers - possibly the best fish...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Beaufort is under new ownership since October 2015 and has had a vast refurbishment throughout. The rooms in the main hotel building have been tastefully decorated with rich sumptuous medieval colours whilst the Coach House has a fresh "New England" style decor. The inn oozes quality and old world charm. The food is brasserie style with a Mediterranean twist and you can see the fresh fish and seafood on display in the lovely display counter at the restaurant entrance. There are 2 course lunch and evening special menus which are very good value and a full a la carte menu complemented by a vast wine list. ... more   less
