What a great hotel. Family run hotel, friendly , comfortable - just what we needed. We were on the 3rd floor - the upper room We had 2 rooms and a huge balcony in between The hotel is run by Ms Merce who takes care of all the small details. We felt at home and were not missing anything. Ms Merce was lovely, friendly and helpful with everything we needed. Breakfast and dining room are superb. One can feel the attention to details every where.

Ironic review title given that this hotel is often used as a stopover for walking tours. One of the few hotels we came across with proper tea/coffee facilities in the room. 5* just for that. Outstanding breakfast; even had marmite(!)The proprietor was an interesting, and interested, host. She gave us an excellent recommendation for a dinner restaurant.

Family owned hotel in the heart of the town. Each room was like a bedroom in the house. This place has everything. Upon walking up the stairs to go to our room we walk through the dining area that has a refrigerator and small island with food and beverages you can have at your leisure - just leave them a note of what you took. There is a living area with a fire place and tv. There are a couple of outside patios for sitting - there is also a library! The room was fully equipped and they provided wonderful lotions and sprays - that were also for sale if you happened to like them. We felt very comfortable and relaxed here. Short walk to historic area with church and local bars restaurants.

Our room was lovely and very comfortable. We had to leave early before breakfast, and I think we really missed out! Mercedes asked us if we wanted to go out for dinner and called to make a reservation at a restaurant that was our favorite of the trip - Casa Carmeta. We were thankful that she did, as no other restaurants were open. We learned that this restaurant would open, even though it was early in the season, if they had reservations.

We stayed there a couple of nights during a cycling holiday and wished we had spent the next nights there as well! Mercedes, the owner, redecorated the full place when she took over. The result is excellent: all modern and tasteful. The rooms are spacious. And as a bonus, Merce speaks excellent English! Highly recommended if you pass by this beautiful area.
