pretty grim. The rooms were beyond tired, and not clean. We had to be there, but it was not a destination I'd ever select if I had an option. The staff were obliging and friendly but they really didn't have much to work with

RagsOxford: I am truly sorry we did not live up to your standards of an Out Island hotel. Everything you said in describing our property, Club Peace and Plenty is true except that Virginia, our head housekeeper will disagree with you about her rooms not being clean. I am also sorry that you have also missed out on all the...

Wandering into Peace and Plenty for dinner we were greeted by the Receptionist, a lovely young lady who made us feel welcome and assured us there was place for us in the restaurant we were welcome to take a seat! We were no sooner seated when a waitress stuck her head out the door and asked "What do you want?"...

AliCat61: I have no excuse to offer for our staff's behavior the night you attempted to dine at our restaurant. We will do and are doing everything we can to make sure this never happens again. All I can say is that the management and ownership of the hotel apologize profusely. We hope you do come back to Exuma. Barry...

We didn't stay here but went to the BBQ our first night in Georgetown. It has a nice atmosphere and friendly bartenders and lobby staff. A lot of the guests are from the boats/yachts in the harbour so you have an opportunity to meet people from all over. It's located in the heart of Georgetown, easy access. (Bring/wear bug spray...

Our staff enjoys making everyone feel like they are at home when they visit the PnP for BBQ or for any reason. We try making it enjoyable to a wide variety of people from overseas to locals. Being in the heart of George Town lends itself to being the social center for the town, the same as it was when...

A pleasant seaside retreat, great Thursday night BBQ around the pool and bar. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy access by boat. All supplies come from Nassau or Southern US.. expect some shortage and high prices.

Nice location, as I could walk to a few places and the water taxi, which I took to Stocking Island, was right around the corner. The people are very nice and my room had a great view, seaside. It definitely has a “motel” type feel and was not high end, if that is what you are looking for, but I...

Tiffany A: Thank you very much for your review of the PnP. Being a 'downtown' hotel in the Out Islands of the Bahamas is filled with compromises. The main buildings of the hotel are almost 60 years old, I feel they have held up very well for all the hurricanes we have suffered thru. Our staff takes great pleasure in...

Understanding that Exuma is expensive, and most accommodations are modest, unless you go the luxury route, this is a welcoming spot with a staff that wants to make your trip a very pleasant one. Locals will tell you this is the "real Bahamas," and it is. Stunning views. There may be a few higher-end rooms in this complex, but most...

BrooklynGuy13: I enjoyed your review of the PnP and some other properties on Exuma. My family fell in love with the island and the people when we bought the hotel in 1971. We still feel very strongly about those same things today. The crystal clear water, friendly people and the fact Exuma is NOT a mass market tourist hub is...

Amazing as usual. The staff is helpful & friendly. They accommodated me in everything I asked for such as arranging a rental jeep, excursions, & informing me of what's happening around town. The food is wonderful. I loved everything they prepared...Thanksgiving dinner was excellent. Breakfast sandwiches are perfect. They even prepare boxes lunches when I venture off to the beach....

Not many options in the area permit cost inflation to exist. Meals are marginal and costly. Facility is dated but a great place to hang out.. barbecue nights are very good, rooms are adequate. No beach, but the pool and patio are good. Staff are generally good.

Thank you for your review of the Club Peace and Plenty, Tom. We have not changed our prices in three years but the government instituted a VAT tax last year that increased the cost of staying at any hotel in The Bahamas by 7.5%. I hope we have made a competent response to your perspective that our hotel is over...
