What a great place to stay. So affordable and comes with a kitchen in-unit and laundry facility. Absolutely spotless and beautiful, right on the marina. Pedro is a wonderful host and connected us to the best driver and masseuse. Couples massage was right in our room and blissful after traveling to the island. You would not regret staying here!

I recently had a 4 night stay here for a business trip in January, 2021. Positives 1. Extremely pretty to the eyes. Your eyes won’t be disappointed, when staying here. 2. The room is really big, almost like a mini apartment with a private patio. Lot of walking space inside. Has a very nice fridge, microwave, electrical stove etc. 3. The bed is very comfortable. 4. The internet was very high speed. Could stream you tube or Netflix without any issues. 5. The manager/cashier, managing the property is an extremely nice, extremely polite gentleman. I do not have enough words to praise him. 6. Allowed a late check out at no extra cost (very grateful/ Thank you). 7. Plenty of plug points near the bed ( extremely convenient). Negatives 1. The place can have lot of mosquitos, if you leave the door open in night time 2. The shower pressure is really pathetic (only an extremely low pressure dribble coming out at any time of the day – impossible to feel satiated after the shower.) 3. The place is far from everywhere. So only stay here, if you have a car. Else, don’t stay here, cos going anywhere from there will cost you a minimum of 15 USD. There is no UBER in this country. 4. The lady who cleans the room will walk-in the room without permission. You could keep shouting - No, No..but she won't listen!! No sign available to put outside the door “do not disturb”. 5. No restaurant facility at the hotel at any time of the day. If you don’t have a car, you will really starve here as there is nothing there at the property. Neither the property has a bar service inside the room. The hotel in-house restaurant is permanently closed till further announcements. 6. No possibility to have coffee in the morning. Though they give a coffee maker and some coffee powder, the coffee maker failed to work. There were no instructions how to use it. Even when I invited the nice manager to make me a coffee using their own coffee maker, it was impossible to use it to make a coffee. Refer to point 5 above. 7. No gym on property ( of if there was, is permanently closed now). As I understand, this is the best property on the island. So, I do not know whether I will like to try another property or whether I should recommend this property to you. But if they can have a breakfast, restaurant facility and fix the shower pressure…the place will be unbeatable. Hope you found my review helpful? I had to travel to Freeport on business, so I knew I wouldn’t have time to make it to any touristic areas or the beach. My company put me up at Dolphin Cove, and I have really enjoyed it. It’s close to our office, but also close to a few nicer hotels and tourist spots. The apartments have a nice full kitchen and is very clean. It is cleaned each day by a very hospitable staff. There are two small pools on the property, and the property sits besides canals that allow boats to dock beside the apartments, so you get a feel for the area even if your time here is primarily business.

After a long journey checking in to this beautiful hotel couldn’t of been easier it’s old charm is truly fantastic we went up to our room and couldn’t have asked for anything more it was lovely I mean really lovely. The problem I had was there is not a lot around unless you have a car and the hotel bar didn’t open until 6pm ($42.00 for 2 mojitos really good tho) there’s a great fine dining Resturant on site but when I went down I was told I was not aloud in as I had flip flops on. This did get my back up a bit. I felt as I was on holiday in the Bahamas going to my hotel restaurant this would be ok but I felt as if I was not good enough to eat there. I didn’t want to get all dressed up after my long journey I just wanted to eat. (I did have a shirt on) the next day we hired a car from the hotel reception this was ok and got us round the island just fine. It costs $75for a day including the tax and insurance. Over all knowing what I know about the hotel now I would need a car for the entire of my trip there. I am sure you could hire them cheaper if you Pree booked. Just don’t expect a resort it’s just a hotel with great rooms.

Dear Guest, Thank You for choosing Dolphin Cove and your positive comments about our rooms. We do take pride in being the highest rated property in Freeport based on customer reviews on all online travel booking engines. All of our rooms include fully equipped kitchens making Dolphin Cove a preferred choice of local corporate companies to book for their traveling associates. Port Lucaya is 1 mile from Dolphin Cove where there you will find a wide variety of shops and restaurants with a variety of style dinning. Our top rated restaurant is open from 6pm to 10 pm six nights a week offering a fine dining adult only experience with a dress code inside the dinning room or a more casual attire on our outdoor waterfront patio deck. We also offer room service if desired. Grand Bahama island is 100+ miles long therefore no matter where your accommodations are located we recommend renting a vehicle. We offer rental cars on site to our guests only for their connivence at a competitive rate with local car rental companies. We always take all reviews serious as your feed back helps us to continuously improve. Thank you
