I have been lucky enough to visit this retreat on several occasions. I travel to Nassau for work and I've just returned. I am only able to comment on the morning classes and brunch. I took the boat across each morning. Unfortunately the service was running late for 2 of the 3 days and this meant that you joined the...

I was expecting a pared down experience. I was enthusiastic about the vegetarian diet (I am not full on veg, but eat only organic meats a few times a month). I was really looking forward to practicing yoga 2x a day. I thought the beachfront location was going to be heavenly. I took the shared beach cabin room having been...

This is my go-to place a couple of times a year to relax, meditate, drink in the peace and quiet, and recharge myself for life in general. Meditation, yoga and satsang (chanting and teaching) twice a day, with a healthy vegetarian diet. It's not a yummy-mummy spa. It's for people of all ages with instructors who are experienced in teaching...

I have been going to the ashram for five years now. It's a short flight from Toronto and affordable. Perfect place to detox from the business of life. Room is simple and clean, food is surprisingly good. I'm not vegetarian, so I was afraid I would starve the first time I went! Daily routine is comforting although I don't stick...

I went to Bahamas with very little expectations. Planning my first visit in an Ashram was with mixed feelings. From the minute I step in Sivananda, I know I would like it, not knowing at the end of the week it would be a life changing experience. The Ashram is an Island on an Island, an approx 3-4 minutes boat...

I waited to long to visit Sivananda Bahamas, it's a retreat that everyone should do, any time of the year! The accommodations are excellent, you choose among a wide variety of rooms for any budget, beds are twin size, very clean and comfortable, with A.C.; there's always hot water in the showers, you can make use of all grounds; they...

I visited Sivananda Bahamas in January 2014- one of the busiest times of the year I hear. There was a teacher training going on and lots of students working non-stop to achieve their goals. In addition, there were a lot of people there fufilling New Year's resolutions or just refreshing and rebooting after the holidays. I was a bit of...

Three girlfriends and I ended our five day party vacation with a half day at the Ashram. We took the 8am yoga class then enjoyed the 10am vegan breakfast. The experience was the perfect way to kick start removing the past few days toxins from the body. The class and meal are each $10 which include a ferry ride over...

What a fantastic spot, and a great contrast to the craziness of nearby Atlantis. Location is simply breathtaking. I do not have a strict yoga practice, but was still able to keep up with the class. They build in a lot of resting in between poses, which is how it's supposed to be practiced. I would have liked to have...

I have been visiting this Yoga retreat for over twenty years. While I do not follow a regular Yoga practice, I have always have a regenerating and relaxing experience. I am pleased and impressed that it has retained its charm, notwithstanding the overwhelming challenges of our rapidly changing world. I have always gone alone, as do most, and met nice...
