We had a great time at A Stone's Throw Away. Thank you to all the staff, who made our stay romantic and quiet. We stayed in Rm#8 with an Ocean View. The view is amazing from the balcony or your King sized bed. The room is clean and has with small fridge, tv, and good shower. The B&B is really...

We really enjoyed our stay. Chris, Marcie, Harriet, Patrice, John and Phillipe all went out of their way to help us. Anything we needed they tried to accommodate. We really appreciate them. We rented a car through Virgo (we have experience on the left side) so it was nice to have the quiet of the west side as our base...

We stayed 8 days over our daughter's wedding (at Compass Point) in August. The free breakfast was limited, but well prepared and tasty. The staff (especially Marcie, Philip, John, and Harriet) were awesome and the owner (Chris) was personable, too. The room (we stayed in #9 facing the ocean) was acceptable but outdated and severely worn. We don't care much...

My husband and I opted to stay at this B&B when we travelled to Nassau, Bahamas rather than staying at an all-inclusive resort. We work all the time and wanted a quite getaway, rather than being around a lot of people all the time. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously at A Stone’s Throw Away, and would recommend it to anyone. We...

A Stones Throw Away is right next to the airport. Pick up service from the hotel was free and was there waiting for us. We choose this location after seeing the reviews and wishing to be out of town and away from the cruise boat crowd. We are sooooo happy with our choice. We read a lot of reviews prior...

Very nice appearance/ambiance, but lacking in many simple areas. Service person was disgruntled, unprofessional, and unaccomodating. They said they were serving dinner when I made the reservation, but they gave chef the night off! We were there with another couple, had to walk to a mediocre local restaurant, very disappointing. Air conditioner in room dripped large amounts of water in...

If your looking to avoid the tourists and just relax with a good book, this is the place. The rooms are updated and clean. We spent 5 nights in early May. Our room was an balcony oceanview room. The view was breathtaking. The entire staff was more than helpful and the breakfast was above average. In addition to the normal...

This is a great place to stay while you are in the Bahamas. It sits on the West side of the island away from the craziness of downtown. It is very close to the airport (NAS) but you are not bothered by the sight or sound of planes going by. One bonus of being so close is that they have...

This was an amazing bed and breakfast and great for a getaway for a young couple. It was a little far from downtown Nassau and doesn't have its own private beach, however it is a short walk from Love beach and a 20 minute bus ride (Bus costs 1.50 each way, pay when you get out!) from downtown Nassau. The...

Quiet hotel, comfortable, old colonial style comfort. Close to the airport. Make sure you have a bottle of water for the room though, we couldnt drink the tap water.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At the west end of New Providence lies an exquisite hideaway. A STONE'S THROW AWAY is perched on one of the highest elevations by the coast. Here our Guests can indulge in a rare panoramic view of Nassau 's land and sea. The scenery boasts the best of the island's natural wonders, from the native pine forest by Lake Killarney to the brim of the coral reefs that protect the glimmering beaches of west Nassau. The property was recently built to echo the traditions of an old Bahamian home: wood floors and wood ceilings, louvered shutters and a large wrap around porch bring the visitors back to a quieter time long ago when the music of the islands could be heard in the whispers of the trade winds. ... more   less
