Cruise brought us to Nassau for the day & having had visited the Atlantis & a private island excursion I was tipped off to look into this Hilton for the day. For $60.00 per person, you have full use of the beautiful pool & beach ,towels & lunge chairs ( shaded) included, bar & cafe. Each adult is given $40.00...

I stayed during the off-season (November 2013, not 2014) and the weather was perfect. The water was lovely. The grounds were clean. Staff was as friendly as I expected, being an US Soldier solo on R&R. The club level was wonderful, with it's special space on the top floor away from most of the other guests (definitely worth the extra...

DO not give them any type of card. DEBIT OR CREDIT. Bring your savings, 401K, stock and bonds or your first born to pay for ANYTHING on this property. The only employees that half-way act like they want to be alive are the sweet gentlemen that open the doors for everyone upon entrance or exit. The others act like the...

We left a previously booked hotel at Cable Beach - extremely loud music blaring and too far from town- and moved to the British Colonial. We were lucky that the BC Hilton had a room become available as it had been booked. The location is really nice. We are overlooking a beautiful lagoon with bright aqua blue water and a...

Should be better maintained for the price, but everyhting in Nassau is overpriced for the value. Slightly but not terribly worn around the edges, so to speak. Nice pool and beach, but beach lounges needed restoration. Resturant with good food and service. Pleasant and well laid out rooms. Staff pleasant, and responsive without much of the 'Soon Come' attitiude. Best...

Whenever I am in Nassau the default is always to stay at Atlantis, My most recent trip I opted to pad my HHonors stay count and opted for the British Colonial to mix it up. What a nice surprise. The rooms (on the ocean side) offer a pretty spectacular view be it just the palm trees and the water or...

Beautiful property with a nice small private beach across from the port. You see all cruise ships dock in Nassau from your balcony. The pool is clean and big and there is a pool bar of course. The property is clean and well kept. The rooms could use fresh furniture but that is not big in my book. Yes you...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated on downtown Nassau’s only private beach and the site of Old Fort Nassau, the British Colonial Hilton in the Bahamas has undergone a multi-million renovation throughout all areas of the hotel, and offers a taste of the island’s rich history, along with some of the most modern amenities for both business and vacation travelers. What’s more the hotel is only 25 minutes from Nassau (Lynden Pindling International) Airport. The hotel is a true Bahamian experience with a marble-tiled lobby and is studded with palm trees under a skylight ceiling. There are 288 luxuriously appointed guest rooms with harbor or island views. All rooms are furnished with tasteful decor, complemented by separate shower and bathtub. One-bedroom suites offer a separate living area with sofa bed, and Executive accommodations are also available along with the Executive Lounge, where attentive hotel staff assures that every need and whim will be met during your stay. Recreational activities are convenient and varied for leisure and business travelers alike. A 300-ft long private white sand beach is furnished with lounge chairs and thatched sunshades overlooking the harbor offering a peaceful and secluded access for an ocean swim or a day in the sun. Use of kayaks and snorkeling gear on the beach is complimentary. Bordered on one side by a tropical garden, the hotel's freshwater pool offers harbor views and has an expansive sundeck with lounge chairs and umbrellas. Both the sundeck and beach offer views of cruise ships moored nearby, and of the western tip of Paradise Island, 300 yards offshore. Guests can snooze in hammocks on the lawn adjacent to the pool. The property can also organize trips out reef snorkeling island exploring, boating, golf, tennis and scuba diving. For dining options, Aqua is a fun, casual restaurant serving international favorites with a Caribbean flair, or guests can meet up for cocktails at the Bullion Bar.
