This hotel is old, dated and poor service. Stay here if you need the location for quick business trip. Group of seasoned travelers and we all had a difficult time here. Rooms are worn. Food is sub par. Staff is disgruntled and not helpful for most part. Spend the extra money and stay at Atlantis or elsewhere on the island....

A beautiful historic hotel in downtown Nassau. You can walk to the straw market and the shops on Bay Street. The rooms are nice and the cleaning staff is excellent. All of the staff are very social and great to deal with on any issue. The concierge helped us find a good snorkelling package with Stuart Cove. We included the...

I stayed here for 6 days on a solo trip to Nassau. The appearance of this hotel is okay, nothing fancy. The main lobby is always very cold, they have the AC blasting in the middle of their winter. The weather was 65-75 outside and I got sick from this and developed a mild cold, which was not very pleasant...

Hotel was nice. You need to realize that a 5 star hotel or restaurant in the Bahamas would be 3 or 4 star in the US. That being said hotel suite was good. Here is what you need to know. 1. Fees for everything. Its in the fine print but expect an extra $100 a night on top our your...

If you are looking for a very nice place to have a pool and beach day then this is an excellent choice. If you are off a cruise ship or even staying at a place where there is no beach then you cannot go wrong with this. For $65.00 per person you get use of the pool, beach, loung chairs,...

Visited Nassau on MSC Divina. Wanted a bit of peace and quiet as there were four cruise ships in port that day. Booked a day pass before we sailed for the British Colonial Hilton. Cost $60 each but $40 credit for food and/or drinks. Excellent choice. Short stroll from the cruise terminal. Beautiful hotel, very classy, excellent staff. Private beach...

If you want nice staff, and don't mind technical problems or management issues, then stay here. Otherwise, wait for renovations. We were told there will be a DJ for New Year's Eve, but there was no-one. We sat at the bar and waited for midnight. No celebration. Hardly any guests there. No atmosphere.

Really nice staff and rooms we arrived on New Year's Eve so the Junkanoo festival was in place and helpful concierge staff provided us with details about the festival. Second of all the resturant staff were helpful and even provided the kids with hats used in the Junkanoo! Most of the staff would go out of their way to help...

Good location and nice bay view, and that’s about it. The bathroom in the rooms needs a major overhaul – moldy shower and peeling ceiling paint, very disgusting to look at. I booked three rooms for a family vacation and all three had virtually the same poor condition. In my kids’ room, the cabinet housing the refrigerator was about to...

What’s more the hotel is only 25 minutes from Nassau (Lynden Pindling International) Airport. The hotel is a true Bahamian experience with a marble-tiled lobby and is studded with palm trees under a skylight ceiling. There are 288 luxuriously appointed guest rooms with harbor or island views. All rooms are furnished with tasteful decor, complemented by separate shower and bathtub. One-bedroom suites offer a separate living area with sofa bed, and Executive accommodations are also available along with the Executive Lounge, where attentive hotel staff assures that every need and whim will be met during your stay. Recreational activities are convenient and varied for leisure and business travelers alike. A 300-ft long private white sand beach is furnished with lounge chairs and thatched sunshades overlooking the harbor offering a peaceful and secluded access for an ocean swim or a day in the sun. Use of kayaks and snorkeling gear on the beach is complimentary. Bordered on one side by a tropical garden, the hotel's freshwater pool offers harbor views and has an expansive sundeck with lounge chairs and umbrellas. Both the sundeck and beach offer views of cruise ships moored nearby, and of the western tip of Paradise Island, 300 yards offshore. Guests can snooze in hammocks on the lawn adjacent to the pool. The property can also organize trips out reef snorkeling island exploring, boating, golf, tennis and scuba diving. For dining options, Aqua is a fun, casual restaurant serving international favorites with a Caribbean flair, or guests can meet up for cocktails at the Bullion Bar.
