Stayed here for 5 days in a "bare tent site" with my family and we really liked it here. The new owners are updating the facilities, so it should be really nice by next year (hopefully they will not raise prices!). Cinnamon Bay is gorgeous...More

Spent a week at Cinnamon Bay in an eco-tent in March. The platform tent was new, very clean and way bigger than I was expecting. Beds were comfy. If you unzipped the canvas windows it was amazing. Felt like it was just you the woods...More

This is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to. Water is so clean, see through. It has the most gorgeous shades of torqoise. I loved relaxing and looking up at the hills and palm trees. The cottage was right in front...More

We stayed for 7 nights. I would not stay again although many people do come back. My husband and I are frequent campers but the inconvenience of a walk in site combined with inability to leave anything in the tent was too much. We enjoyed...More

Been going to your beautiful island since 1987. I love st.john!!!! But, cinnamon bay facilities are an absolute DISGRACE!!!! I would be embarrassed to rent that place out anyone that lives in modern society, maybe some third worldwould like to stay there!,, personally better off paying more and stay at 'Samuel cottages'! In town n $1000/ week. Their and nice, hot water too , probably even cheaper, get it together

My answer is I basically agree. The beach is still lovely and my only proviso would be to see what it is like when they tear down the motel units and rebuild on the same footprint. Perhaps the new management will get... More
We will be staying in the eco-tents during the 2017-18 Christmas holidays. A few questions. Do the eco-tent sites have a picnic table? We are planning to do some cooking during our stay. It looks like we can rent a stove from the camp store. Does the campground supply basic cooking equipment--a couple of pots and pans and cooking utensils.? Any other tips anyone can give us will greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ginny

We've been going to Cinnamon Bay for many years, but have not been since the change in concessionaires. Just made reservations for February, 2018. The confirmation email mentioned that only the beachfront cottages -- which weren't available in any case -- now have Coleman stoves (which used to be free, in ALL cottages), and that you have to rent them for the other cottages at $15/day -- which is absolutely ridiculous. Our planned 10-day stay would cost us an extra $150 for a Coleman stove on which to brew morning tea and heat some oatmeal. However -- and I will phrase this delicately -- I know from previous trips to Cinnamon Bay that there is sometimes a difference between formal policy and actual practice. I would appreciate knowing from anyone who has been there recently whether the new stove policy is for real.

We were there last week and a Coleman stove was included with our stay. We had made the reservations a year ago, so maybe they had to honor the original terms. If you really have to rent a stove for $15 a day, I would... More
