Just got back from our 4th trip to St Thomas since 2016 and we have stayed at Bolongo every time. What a fantastic trip as always. We Love staying at Bolongo. 2 trips with kids and 2 trips without kids. They love it. We always have a great time. This resort makes you feel like family. It's like you never left. Same people working in the front office, bar, Resturaunt, housekeeping, and of course Keith the on-site resident manger. 007, Alex, Melinda working magic at the bar. We have never had an issue with anything. Kevin is amazing at finding the perfect table for you. FOOD is amazing and many great choices. Conch Fritters are delicious, along with mango jerk wings, Grilled tuna sandwich, and the Shrimp Penne is my favorite dish. Needless to say I’ve had just about everything on the menu, and it’s always GREAT. All inclusive is the way to go. We absolutely love Bolongo. A great family run business and they are around to make sure you are enjoying yourself. Perfect place for a quick trip or extended stay. The views are amazing. The service is always great from EVERYONE. The live music is always great. NOT A BAD WORD I CAN SAY ABOUT THIS PLACE. Can’t wait to go back. …
I just returned from an 8 day 7 night stay at the Bolongo Bay. This was our first time in St Thomas and we were glad that we chose the Bolongo Bay. The staff, food, and service were superb. There are plenty of activities that are included with your stay. We went Kayayking, paddle boarding and took the Sunday Funday cruise. The staff at the beach hut were super helpful - they even went out with my family and I kayaking too make sure we were comfortable. Drinks were amazing 007 sure knows how to make them! Kevin the restaurant manager always checks in with the guest to make sure you have everything you need. Shot out to Derek, Nathan, Mickey and Melissa at the beach hut - you guys made our stay extra especial. We definitely recommend the Bolongo Bay - by the end of your stay you’ll feel like you are hanging out with family ! There is also some type of nightly entertainment and their music guest are great! Last but not least Mike the hotel manager was super friendly. Always chatting with hotel guest and making sure you are enjoying your stay! Bolongo Bay is our new go to hotel for our ST Thomas vacations!…
I want to ensure that I give a fair and honest review for Bolongo. I really had high hopes for this resort since the pictures are nice and the reviews are relatively good. My friend and I had a good time but there were definitely some pros and cons. It is probably best I list them: Pros -Great staff. All the staff have a really nice and positive demeanor. This was honestly the saving grace for the entire trip. Linda, 007, Oneil were all awesome -Drinks are delicious -Three words: mango jerk wings -Nice view Cons -The beach is extremely rocky and small. Very uncomfortable to have a good time because the rocks are so jagged and hard to walk on -Food was not good at all except for the wings. The claim to fame is the all inclusive package, although we did not choose that option, we did have dinner there one night. The mahi mahi had no flavor, the rice and plantain were undercooked. Two tables next to us also had complaints about the food as well. I would not get the package, there is only one restaurant and one static menu. -The room: doable but definitely in need of improvements. Tiles were dingy and the shower was extremely small. -On Day 2, the water was coming out brown in the shower and the sink. It also made a terrible noise when the faucet was turned on. When we inquired with the front desk, they said that the plumber was working on the water. However, the following day, the water was still brown and sputtering. The water pressure was also extremely low for the duration of the trip, it wasn’t even enough pressure to properly wash sand completely off your body. -They only clean the room every 3 days. This is a first for me, I have never experienced this at any other hotel before. If you want fresh towels, you have to special request them Overall, I would not choose to stay here again.…
Bolongo bay beach resort ,all rooms ocean views, Iggies restaurant and bar ,food and drinks super good , Best family spot ,best resort and best service .. We had a super great time and we will be back .
Do not spend the money - arrival is terrible , no champagne or tour . If you planned to work out forget it no gym except in a room they converted with two machines and a dirty shower and old towels. They also do not have any spa or suggestions, it’s not that kind of resort. It’s small and barely anyone is around. The calendar with events never happens and they never check on you. They don’t help with luggage. Also they do not have an elevator so you are dragging it up the stairs. Also, you get the wrist bands for all inclusive and still have to sign a check every time it doesn’t make any sense. The restaurant has one menu every day it never changes you can’t eat the same thing for 7 days zero variety. Limited staff, it takes 30 minutes to get breakfast and 30 minutes to get a drink expect the same for lunch and dinner which you have to eat lunch by 3:00 or you will just get a sub sandwich. The beach is not a beach. It’s very rocky with limited things, except Nate at the dive shop see him before you commit to any excursions by the resort you are more likely to go by yourself or with whoever. The rooms have holes in the blankets and mold in the shower. Tile is missing. A/c is a single unit blowing on you. The rooms are outdated and have not been cleaned. They clean every 3 days - you have to ask for new towels etc because it’s not a daily thing. They don’t make the bed etc or sweep or do anything to clean it. We spent almost every day off the resort at different beaches eating and drinking. Which cost more $$. The pool bar is disgusting they don’t clean it bugs are floating around. It smells like chlorine. No one goes in the pool no entertainment or games just cheap rafts. The shower does not get hot. You want a relaxing shower after the day, it floods into the doorway. The pictures are outdated, the resort looks nothing like this. They have sand fleas and they will bite you. They scam you with cab prices that are listed behind a sign. Stay at a hotel and save your money. St Thomas is beautiful with lots of resorts near by, you don’t need the all inclusive deal because it isn’t one- I priced it out. Stay away. Don’t get scammed like we did…
