Flamboyan on the Bay Resort & Villas is a two and a half star, unpretentious and very relaxed resort facing Magens Bay. Our facilities include two restaurants, one Italian finer dining featuring a wine-mojito bar, and the pool sports bar with burgers, bbq, pizza and sandwiches. We offer two Jacuzzis, tennis courts, a coffee-deli-wine on site shop with breakfast, a gaming room, a small fitness center offering also yoga, zumba and massage services. All our studios and villas have been tastefully redone, and are fully equipped with kitchenettes, microwaves and small fridges, plus energy efficient air conditioning units. Most units also face Magens Bay, and you can wake up to spectacular views of the bay, or watch the sun set from your balcony while sipping the cocktail of your choice. Last year RCI awarded us recognition for excellence in hospitality services, and since 2010 we have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars upgrading our facilities. We may not be for everyone, true. But if you are looking for that "limin" effect that locals brag about.. come stay with us. We promise you an unforgettable experience. Flamboyan on the Bay Resort & Villas is what the islands should be all about.
The Flamboyan was hit hard by the Hurricanes (and resultant tornadoes), but is recovering. Our room/suite was large, incredibly clean, and comfortable. The A/C worked well and our room was very quiet. We had a great view of Magan's Bay. The service was exceptional. My husband and I ate lunch at the bar& grill, Root 42, the food (and service) was so unexpectedly amazing, that we came back for dinner after a short walk to Magan's Bay (take a taxi back) and a quick dip in the lower pool. Part of the Hotel is not yet repaired, including the upper pool/Jacuzzi, a wing of rooms, and the exercise facility. This side of the island is much more lush and much of the vegetation is coming back, including the Flamboyan trees and bougainvillea. Our suite had a 70/80s style sunken living room, so there are a few steps when coming into the room, and to go to the bedroom, kitchen efficiency, and bathroom. It was not a problem for us, but worth a mention in case someone with mobility issues is considering this property. We would definitely stay here again. There is no breakfast service at the hotel or bar & grill - so plan accordingly.
Really enjoyed our time here. Physical setting was beautiful and the room was nice with a great view. We had to change rooms due to a leak but were quickly accommodated and moved to a larger room. Food was good, staff excellent and Lucy, director of activities and go to girl was a gem. Helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Would return anytime.
This resort is quite charming, while it's not the Ritz or the Marriott, it's extremely comfortable, the rooms are great, and it's truly about the staff that makes your stay memorable. They are very accommodating and do what they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The grounds and pool areas are kept up very nice and you can't beat the location to Magens Bay..... There's a great convenience store called The Cup and Cork for all your incidentals and there's a great restaurant called Three Sheets, where the food is quite good and the wait staff very friendly. This is an older property but it's clean, basic and we really enjoyed it. I can be a picky 5 start hotel person when I want to be, and I don't expect every hotel/resort to be a 5 start hotel, when I want that I will book that, but what makes this place is the people.... Should you need it, there's a self service laundry, (although I didn't use it). There's a small gaming room/slot machines down stairs if you like that, and there's a nice new gym. (I didn't use it and I am not sure of the cost associated but it was very nice). Anyway, we really enjoyed it and it's laid back casual atmosphere....it's a nice change from a busy big hotel/resort. Small and charming. Can't wait to return.
The Flamboyan Resort is a real nice place to stay, I'm on my third day now and having a great time with a beautiful view of the Magen's Bay The staff is great and the restaurant and bar" Three Sheets" very good. Logan the bartender and Jen the waitress just awesome people....you will have a good time.
My first impression of the room was that it was dated & not comfortable. It was clean but you can't do much with old furniture. While this continued to remain true (the bathroom was upgraded, the kitchen was so small with a bar sink) The grounds, amenities, restaurant and staff won me over. The food was delish & good size portions. The wine list was a surprise, the waiters were great! The activities director, Lucy, was the best & made our stay very enjoyable. The grounds were immaculately tended, pools & jacuzzi's very clean an inviting. The location to Magen's bay was a plus & the cute cats all around made it fun!

Unfortunately we will not be open for the majority of 2018. We suffered severe damage with both Irma and Maria. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to welcoming you in the future.

The beach is really close all of a couple minutes. It's the closet hotel to Magen's Bay on island. The rooms are basic, but well appointed. It's a 2.5/3 star hotel...very clean. It's on the older side but quite nice. If you want a good deal for hotels this place is great. We had a 2 bedroom unit on my last stay a week ago and it was great. Limited tv, but they have wi-if. They have a great onsite restaurant called 3 sheets, good food. There's a small grocery store onsite but they close at 2pm during slow season which is now. The employees are super nice. I love staying there.
