So if you like luxury of any sort and can afford it, I would recommend booking a resort, not Galleon House. But this place is a true diamond in the rough. The hosts, Harry and his Wife are so hospitable, they gave us rides when we really needed it and offered great tips on where to go and what to do around the island. There's a hostel part to the B&B with shared bathrooms and separate individual rooms with private bathrooms for others. Everyone was super friendly and the beds were actually super conducive to good sleep. Breakfast is continental so coffee, bagels and muffins or granola bars. If you have trouble walking or climbing 5 flights of stairs, this is not the place for you! Save yourself the frustration, there are loads of stairs because the B&B is built on an elevation. For us, we enjoyed the exercise and it made sleep that much sweeter when we reached our room. Overall, I'd recommend this place and but will likely be splurging for something grander on my next trip to STT.

I booked through Orbitz (book now pay later) received a call from Harry (property manager) two days later asking for 1 night deposit...he said the weekend I booked was going to be busy and if I didn't pay now he'd cancel my reservation. He did just that after I explained booking a room that says pay at hotel..he was very rude has terrible communication skills for a manager and isn't business savvy..it was most likely best he canceled the reservation after reading about this out dated dump of a motel.

Lots and lots of steps very st thomas motel you do feel that your in the Caribian, very casual no real reception I think it’s a family run hotel the views are great reminder there is no wi fi in the rooms just in the area where you have breakfast overlooking st thomas loved the location close to everything bars, restaurants, supermarket in case you need that extra alcohol or a late nite snack as the place there is no restaurant except a vending machine I loved it the bed was great my opinion bit expensive but enjoyed our one night stay I would not stay for a week unless it was cheaper

We spent a week here the beginning of December. First you need to be aware that there are a lot of steps at this hotel so if you have problems getting around this is not the hotel for you. The rooms are very nice, very plain but everything that you need, we had a balcony which made it very nice. The first two days we had problems with the water pressure in the shower but after that it was fine. The breakfast was nice and was included, the hotel next door had a bar and restaurant that was convenient to get to. The pool was nice and they provide towels for it or to take to the beach. It was really close to town so it was easy to walk there. We rented a jeep for the week and we never had any problem finding a place to park right in front of the hotel. it's definitely not a Hilton but for the price and location it is worth the price. I will stay here again if I come back to St Thomas.

Nice place to stay, not expensive at all but its not the Marriott either. Close to downtown for shopping and dining but beware of the steps, 40+ steps to the main entrance from the main street below, another 60+ steps to the 1st-floor rooms. No elevators. But then again it's like this all over St Thomas. Olga's fancy was the same along with Bluebeards Castle. I would have rated this higher but our room could of used some maintenance. The screen door on our porch had the screen falling out of the frame. There were some other little issues that just need a handyman touchup.
