We came here for 2 nights for our honeymoon. The staff was really accommodating and upgraded us to a beach house which is literally right in the beach - if you stay here I highly recommend these rooms over the French house. Sugar Reef is about 15 minute taxi from the ferry and is about $20 USD for the taxi...

This hotel has 2 separate types of accommodation - either on the beach (4 rooms)or up the hill behind with views. We stayed in a beachfront room and enjoyed being able to fall into the surf and laze on the sand. the restaurant is also right on the beachfront serving all meals also small bar. very pleasant friendly staff and...

We stayed for two weeks on this island and sadly only discovered Sugar Reef Hotel at the end of our first week. As a family we were looking to find somewhere quite and relaxing with good food. Well we found it here! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Even though we weren't staying at the hotel they invited us...

Our review is a little overdue but still noteworthy. We stayed here from March 25-30 in the plantation house: Baliceaux room. The plantation house is absolutely beautiful with a spectacular view of the ocean, since the house is up on the hill. The rooms are well-maintained and cozy, with a kitchen readily accessible. Depending on what you are looking for,...

Spent two marvelous nights at this villa before boarding out catamaran trip in the Grenadines. Would return. Stayed beachfront, and it was so nice to just walk out to the beach. Breeze on the Atlantic side is pleasant; we're not AC people (some may want a fan, which is available). Swimming was great, short beach walk, and longer walk to...

Nice hotel on the beach, but I would not say it is a honeymoon destination. The rooms are right next to each other. And as there is no AC you have to keep the doors open all the time. It can get really hot there so you might want to ask for the fan which gets you some sleep :)

Overall we loved this place! Its in a pretty amazing location right by the beach in a lovely old, what feels like colonial building, although we understood it is just an old beach cafe from some time ago. So impressive walking in there for the very first time with the old shutters/wooden doors open to the turquoise sea only feet...

Wow wow wow! We stayed at the Sugar Reef last month for part of our honeymoon and had the most fantastic time. Bequia as an island is an idyllic place and somewhere we will definitely return. The Sugar Reef is a total escape, with fabulous rooms and even better food. We stayed in the French House, which has a great...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Sugar Reef Bequia offers a local, natural, sensual Caribbean experience at our bar, restaurant and eight guest rooms on a 65-acre, beachfront coconut plantation. Our guest rooms maintain the tradition of living in sumptuous luxury open to the views and breezes. The Beach House, with decor inspired by the Caribbean of the 1940s-70s (think James Bond in Jamaica), has three beachfront rooms each with a private patio and king-size four-poster bed. On the hillside above, historic French House offers a British colonial experience with spacious antique-filled rooms and breathtaking views over the estate, the ocean, and the Grenadines. ... more   less
