This is an amazing property, owned and operated by amazing Vincentians. I stayed with my daughter here for 2 days in June. To say that we're sorry we bothered with Young Island is an understatement. We were picked up and brought to the hotel, which is a small boutique property, like a small B&B. Had light pina coladas upon arrival, per request, they were perfect. Dinner was astounding both nights and breakfasts, the same. We were able to spend time with Sharon and Lennox and went on an excursion with Elvin, their driver and tour guide to Dark View Falls. It was raining so too dangerous, so we continued on and viewed the lava flow area and visited small towns along the coast. It was like being with friends and such a treat, I can't say enough. I'm glad we were able to stay and will definitely return again.…
I am writing this review on behalf of my parents. They stayed at the Milligan for one week celebrating their 49th wedding anniversary. Their stay was awesome. They cannot stop talking about what a wonderful time they had. The owners of the establishment Lennox and Sharon went out of her way to see that this was possible; they strive in excellence. The beach was walking distance away from the hotel. Breakfast and dinner were included in the package. The food was delicious. The hospitality was endless.
What can I say that hasn't already been said.....Sharon & Lennox what an amazing team, nothing is too much trouble, from the moment You arrive greeted with one of the best Pina Colada's I have ever had.....the breakfast & Dinner, all freshly prepared to suit you at a time convenient to you...wonderfully renovated property thoughtfully done with guests in mind, to the highest standards. My First night I was alone & We ate together, great conversation & useful information. The second night My partner arrived & We were served a delicious meal in a very romantic setting on the balcony, hospitality at its best....dont hesitate, if You are visiting "Vincy" book this, you will not regret it....10/10. We will be returning for date nights
Driving in to the hotel feels like you are slipping out of one era into another. It feels like what relaxed was meant to be. When we got there we were greeted by friendly staff where it was quite obvious that their goal was to make our brief stay the best we ever had - I can’t complain about that! The kitchen serves up delicious, authentic local food food made to order. Though the bar was not open at the time of our stay, the hosts were more than happy to whip up something made with rum - in true Caribbean spirit. The view of the ocean and the constant pounding of waves is something to behold and the constant breeze make us forget how hot the island trusty is. The only down side is the pool and the pool bar where not up and running for our stay but with the beach less than 10 mins away, I will definitely be heading back there when I visit the island!…
Beautiful room and shower. The Milligan has lovely communal spaces and views to the ocean from its terraces. Our hosts could not have been more helpful ( picked us up from the ferry and took us out next day) and the food was amazing. A shortish walk to Brighton Beach where we had a wonderful swim. Black volcanic sand which added to the islands atmosphere. Will definitely go back and hopefully stay longer next time.
I have traveled all over the world and this has been one of my best experiences ever. My hosts Sharon and Lennox picked me up at the airport. They are the nicest people. They pointed things out as we went along. The house is essentially a small inn or a large bnb. It is in a quiet beautiful setting with a breath-taking view. The food is excellent. I felt veey much at home. Why is this not listed in the TripAdvisor best hotels of St. Vincent? Too new?
The Milligan is one of the best hotels I have been to. Clean rooms and bathroom. Sharon and Lennox were so accommodating and made our holiday to St.Vincent even better. They provided a very personal and bespoke service. Sharon’s cooking was amazing and you definitely need one of Lennox’s signature cocktails. They can arrange excursions and even provide a packed lunch. Will definitely be booking with them when we come back to St. Vincent.
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at The Milligan. Our hosts Sharon and Lennox made our stay most enjoyable. It is located a little away from the busy areas, nicely appointed Caribbean home made of wood and stone. The Milligan is certainly a unique property. Rates include beautifully prepared dinners and breakfasts and we were so pleased to have our hosts join us for meals, a great way to understand the life (past and present) on St. Vincent. There is no need to rent a vehicle. Lennox will pick you up upon arrival at the airport or ferry terminal. Lennox will also take you wherever you want to go as well as organizing excursions on St. Vincent and the neighboring island of Bequia. We will certainly stay at The Milligan again.
Amazing place, very peaceful. Sharon and Lenox are wonderful hosts. They are very knowledgeable of the area. Every day was an adventure and their superb cooking made our stay even more enjoyable...we are already planning our next trip there. Very clean rooms, love the shower and the balcony with the great view. The location is close to everything. A must see place.
