We had a great week at the Hamilton and would highly recommend it. We had a spacious 2 bedroom condo, which perfectly suited our family of four. We spent a lot of time on the beach where we always had our pick of beach chairs, no matter what time we arrived. It was frequently just us and a few other guests – it never felt even remotely crowded (we were there mid-february). The staff at the Hamilton arranged just about everything for us – the transportation from the airport, our rental car, every day they offered up dining recommendations and made our reservations for us, they booked a catamaran trip which was great. The manager David in particular goes above and beyond to help – he even personally procured some beach toys for our kids after we arrived. The very friendly housekeeper did a very thorough job each day. There is a very small but adequate gym. The only thing we felt was somewhat lacking was the onsite restaurant the yachtsman (which I think is actually not affiliated with the hotel) – the food was good, but the service was just so slow and unfriendly. The young man David that serves the customers on the beach was the exception – he was always friendly and working hard. We were happy that we rented a car so that we could explore the island – there are lots of interesting and excellent restaurants to try. We took a walk through the four seasons and it is nice, particularly the pool area, and I’m sure the service is top notch…. but I had no regrets about staying at the Hamilton given the price, our spacious condo and the lovely, uncrowded beach.

Hello north726, Thanks so much for your kind words. We're always pleased to read positive responses from our guests! So glad you had the excellent experience out on the catamaran with Captain Lenox. He's a wealth of information and one of the builders of Caona, probably more than 30 years ago now. Nox has been the skipper all along. And we do appreciate the feedback on Yachtsman Grill. Indeed, while they do lease the restaurant space from the The Hamilton developer, we want to make sure our guests get a quality, friendly experience wherever they go on the island. We most often hear positive reports about Yachtsman, but I know they'll appreciate hearing your feedback. Again, thanks for taking the time to write. Best regards, David

We stayed in a self-catering flat at the Hamilton Beach villa and spa for first week of January. Not only was the flat very luxurious, well equipped, very comfortable and the quietest air conditioning units we've ever had, the staff and services were brilliant. From the well organised transfers from the airport, crossing from St Kitts to Nevis James Bond style with a smart boat, to the ever helpful Priscilla arranging all of our extra activities (catamaran and snorkelling trip, rainforest walk, scuba diving and car rental) and the very friendly cleaning staff, who even provided us some local type of coconuts to taste. The restaurant and beach were just at our door step. The food was good, fairly varied, with exceptional pizzas and moorish breakfast choices, albeit I wish there had been more local creole cuisine to sample. The cocktails were very generous, no skimping on the alcohol! The beach was clean, lovely soft sand and well furnished with deck chairs and umbrellas which we never had any trouble getting hold of. I even tried out for a spa treatment which was very enjoyable. It was a fantastic stay and I have no hesitation in recommending the place to friends and family. Nevis was a better destination than St Kitts we felt, less crowded, more rural. We did visit St Kitts for a day (braving the old WW2 car ferry), finding some great local cuisine and the amazing fort museum - and the best off the beach snorkelling I've ever had in the caribbean right by the old salt lake. Just stepping out less than one meter rewarded us with a huge amount of different fish, and scary looking black sea urchins. But by far the most incredible part of it was David, the manager of the resort, who was very honest and pointed out to us that our expedia booking had incorrectly made us pay for 2 flats instead of 1 - and helped us get a refund. We would not have noticed as the expedia booking referred to 2 rooms (which we thought were the 2 rooms of the flat). Without his intervention, we would never have known..so imagine our delight to be coming back from holiday with a sizeable refund rather than the usual budget overspend! Thank you to David and all the staff who made our stay very memorable.

Dear Cosmopolitan605994 Well, I guess now the public will think that you've been doing the public relations and marketing for us! That's a tough act to follow! I'm sure glad you all had a wonderful stay on Nevis and were comfortable here at The Hamilton. And it's always great to see our guests out and about daily, taking advantage of the many things Nevis and St. Kitts has to offer. Again, thanks very much, and keep an eye out for that magnet in the mail! Best, David

This is such an amazing place to stay. You can walk the beach to a number of different places or the office will help you arrange for a quick transfer. The manager, David, was very responsive and made sure everything was perfect. We had our kitchen stocked which I highly reccomend. We ordered fresh fruit, bagels, cream cheese, Ting, Coke, water, beer and Rum. This complex also has an amazing resturant, The Yatchsman, which makes this such a convenient and relaxing place to be. We are already planning our return trip.

We stayed here for a week in early January. Our 2 bedroom/two bath rental unit was very comfortable. The beach out front is nice and being on the Caribbean side, generally had calm water. There were always plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. There was a nicely equipped fitness center at the end of the complex. The property is in a good location to explore the island. The Yachtsman restaurant located within the property offers good food and drinks. Other restaurants and bars on Pinney Beach are a short drive away.

Family of four stayed at a beachfront 2BR for week of New Years 2020. HB has the perfect family setup ... rooms have plenty of space and all the amenities you need. Location is within 15m drive of dozens of great food options, or the Yachtsman Grill is more than just a decent on-site fallback, plus you have your fully appointed kitchen. Beach is beautiful and never crowded; but several others nearby if you want variety. Pools are more of a landscaping feature than a functional bathing option as far as we could see... but they are pretty enough. Parking is right below your condo. Car rental can be arranged through the property with onsite pickup/dropoff. It was our first time on Nevis and we loved it - having tried a few other places over the years, we found it to have natural beauty like St John or St Lucia with a nice set of "civilized" options (restaurants, supermarkets, produce) without being so developed like a St Thomas or Aruba. Not easy to get to from where we live, but worth it for a week's visit.
