We spent 15 days at Regal Beach club in June 2022. It was our third Cayman trip and second time staying at Regal Beach. We stayed in 513 with our four kids and had the time of our lives. We were nervous before going because we had read so much about the erosion and sea wall, and were worried about the lack of a beach. It was a non-issue. There was ample space to have two rows of reclining beach chairs and plenty of space to play in front of the chairs. The kids never suffered for lack of sand. If you stay at Regal Beach you have access to the Marriott next door which has fabulous food and a great bar, and also have Coconut Joes and Peppers just across the street. The staff is friendly, prompt, and helpful. The tennis court is fun and generally not busy. The biggest reason we love this spot is we can wake up, toss on a snorkel, walk into the water and see so many fish. The fish houses in front of the Marriott have fun new discoveries every day and the giant rocks beyond are just filled with so much to see. Our 11 and 12 year old kids could snorkel out there safely by themselves. The condo is definitely dated in some aspects, but given this island is just emerging from stringent Covid restrictions, what we experienced was not at all unexpected of problematic. We would love to visit again and miss the excellent adventure already!…
Regal Beach Club will soon be called just Regal Club. We have stayed here now 3 times. Prior times were outstanding. However the beach has eroded to a point where all the beach chairs are hit by the waves. The beach is all but gone. The photos in the rental listings need to be updated to show a true representation of what to expect. We were a little shocked upon arrival to find the beach almost completely gone. The condo was nice as expected. Unfortunately during our visit the “African dust” had blown over the island making it cloudy.
Regal Beach 221 This condo complex is lovely with plush foliage, 2 pools, and the location is beachfront. The beach in this area has had major erosion over time. There is space for 2 rows of chairs and umbrellas, which are always available and comfortable. The pool chairs are always available as well. The complex is very quiet. If facing the complex from the beach room 221 is on the right side. We did hear some truck traffic and beeping at the Marriott but nothing to complain about. Pros -Very clean -Well equipped kitchen -Starter paper products -2 large bedrooms, 1 with a king, the other 2 singles -Comfortable King bed-Washer dryer -Large screened in porch with new patio set -Marriott next door. We did dine there, visited the outdoor bar, used Red Sail for paddle board and kayak rentals, snorkeled on the man made reef located off the Marriott beach. -Beautiful beach, clear blue water and good snorkeling. Room for improvement but definitely not a deal breaker- -Couch & loveseat a little tired, could use to be updated. -The drier did not work well. Needed 2 full cycles to dry a load of towels. -Could use more beach towels. 1 per person was provided and they needed cleaning or drying every day. -I did not sleep on the single beds but my adult children did and said the mattresses were in need of updating. The complex was priced right, clean, convenient and addressed all our needs. I would stay again and recommend it. Although I would look at the other property management company. I believe there are 2 companies that manage different rental units at this complex. We rented this through Cayman Villas. They seemed a bit inflexible and standoffish when approached. Cayman is a beautiful island with some of the best beaches and snorkeling in the Caribbean. There is a diverse population. Safe to travel around, although left side driving did take some time getting used to and a few funny moments. This is an island to add to your must see list.…
Great location. Nicely appointed unit (512) with a walk out patio to spa and pool. Terrific sunset views. Restaurants, bars, groceries and shops within walking distance. Kristina, George, Jelly and Ronnie treat you like family.
Well where do I start. Set up a meet time for the room. The manager wasn't there. The info given isn't clear. Called the manager to meet us and they drove down. Said "I'm in the room". Well there are no signs in the courtyard with building numbers. Ended up on the other side of the complex the repose was why are you there? Well, simply meet us out front and walk us to our room. Simple solution! We have never stayed here nor will we again. Anyway, got in the room. They are ok. The view isn't bad. Just there service level is. The straw that broke the camels back was the raw sewage that I had to mop up from the plumbing backing up because the the condo on the bottom floor. Walked into a flooded bathroom. I can provide photos of their texts and the service through this whole thing. Just don't have time to spend more time on this. The hostilly and attitude when questioned from a person that is in a customer service role is crazy... I'm sure what will be said We sorry and we did everything we could to help yada yada. They didn't and don't believe it! Again I have the documentation.…
We just got home from the Regal. We stayed in 624 - a 3 bedroom ocean front condo. I'm a hotel snob and would definitely stay here again. The beach is coming back. It's nice that the Marriott was right next door. We ate lunch there twice and had a few drinks at their bar. The only thing I would change is heating their hot tub.
This place is great! I never write reviews, but we liked it here so much that I felt compelled to do so. Much more reasonably priced than the resorts and the accommodations are terrific. My family of 5 stayed in a two bedroom condo for a week. There was plenty of space, plenty of amenities, comfortable sleeping arrangements, spacious bathrooms, and beautiful views of the gorgeous beach from our room. The grounds and the room were very clean. Kristina was extremely accommodating and the other guests were very friendly. Access to the beach and pool was simple, and the beach entry was all sand unlike some other spots along the beach that are more rocky. The condo is centrally located offering easy access to restaurants and shops. The Marriott is right next door so we were able to use the restaurant and bar there. George Town and West Bay were only a few minutes away by car. We would definitely stay here again!…
I would avoid staying at this property if at all possible as there are much better options available on 7 mile that are much better value for money. I had an extended stay at the property and during this time the internet and TV was intermittent and would go for days being down without being fixed. There was constant building noise resulting in dust and smoke rendering the facilities at the property unusable. When these issues were raised with the owners they did not care and simply insisted on being paid and when I wanted to have a reasonable discussion about all the disruption resorted to bullying and intimidation tactics. I would advise anyone to think very carefully before staying here. Very sour experience in the end
Traveling right now is extremely stressful and the added layers of Cayman government requirements don't make it easy. However, we had a great time at Regal Beach condo 211. Second time here and the beach has eroded, but not as bad right now as some have suggested. If you have been here before, the Marriott beach next door is gone but Regal Beach has room for chairs and sand space as the beach has come back from earlier storms. Ask Cayman Villas and they will send you a current photo. Condo was great and I can't say enough about Cayman Villas staff there. Always a quick response and friendly service. Minor issue in bathroom tub resolved in hours. Broken beach umbrella replaced same day. Condo was perfect for family of four. We needed to Covid test twice while we were there and scheduled with Marriott next door. Maybe 20 minutes overall. Other than that it was a break from Covid. Rented a jeep for the week, plenty of room at the beach, loaded up with groceries at Kirks and Fosters which are both clean and safe. Almost every meal outdoors with all dinners at outdoor restaurants. New Year's eve fireworks fantastic. Locals and staff virtually everywhere are wonderful. The unique element to Cayman is the ability to explore, drive, shop safely (in addition to the phenomenal water/beaches) Get out there and enjoy what the island has to offer. My advice is that Cayman is for those taking Covid seriously. Isolate for a few days before you go. Make sure you are boosted. Wear a 95 mask on the flight and in stores and try to enjoy yourself. Most importantly protect yourself with travel/health insurance. It is very difficult for the travel industry there and they are trying to make a living. Favorite dining was Abacus and Brasserie for dinner, both phenomenal for local seafood. Take a drive to Macabuca at the Cracked Conch for outdoor lunch and drinks. Visit Camana Bay for great shopping and walking. Grab a couple of bottles at duty free liquor stores in airport and stock your room. Looking forward to returning again!…
Kristina was awesome. She welcomed us back and insured that everything was wonderful upon arrival. Grounds are impeccable and the property is constantly improving yet keeping the charm it has come to b known for.
