We stayed for two weeks at Discovery Point Club in Unit 40 and it was wonderful! I loved that you could see your room before booking on the website - all condos are beachfront. There are full kitchens and washer/dryer but no restaurant onsite so renting a car is a must. The grocery store and liquor store are a short drive away and you can also have groceries delivered. Usually, when we go back to a destination we choose another hotel or property to stay at but the next time we come to Grand Cayman we are definitely staying at Discovery Point Club!
We just returned from our 2nd amazing week at Discovery Point Club for Feb break-we will never stay anywhere else on Grand Cayman! -All units face the beach and we enjoyed having a ground level condo this time which made it easier going in and out w/ the kids to the beach. If you don't have kids, you may enjoy a higher level for the views. The units would be great for 2 couples as well since both bedrooms have their own full bathroom. -Snorkeling is amazing right off the beach! bring your own snorkel! This section of 7 mile beach is nice an quiet (condos not hotels) and a short walk up the beach to "cemetery beach" for more great snorkeling further out. -The management goes above and beyond, and even made sure my grocery delivery from Fosters was in the condo prior to our arrival w/ perishables put in the fridge. The daily house keeping staff was wonderful along with every single person who works at Discovery Point Club. -Great location- minutes to many restaurants & Fosters. We do enjoy having a rental car for the week, but there were a few people we met who didn't have them. We did use a cab service for going out to dinner a few of the nights. -The beach also has the largest palapas of any of the other condos up and down the beach, offering plenty of shade! And we enjoyed being able to hop in the pool & hot tub as well! We have high standards and would recommend Discovery Point Club to anyone! Cannot wait to go back!…
We could not have asked for anything better. This was our second trip to Grand Cayman and when we come back I will definitely stay here again. We came with friends who stayed on the first floor, so we had the best of both worlds--easy access to snacks and bathroom from the beach and the incredible views from the 3rd floor. The condo was well stocked with everything we needed, including detergent for the dishwasher and washing machine. We ordered groceries in advance and they were in our unit when we arrived. Plenty of shade on the beach and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. An absolutely perfect week--wish we could have stayed longer!
We stayed at the DPC last week, and it was amazing! The staff are super helpful and friendly, and the unit we stayed in was well maintained and well equipped. We liked being away from the hustle and bustle of seven mile beach, so it was perfect. The beach was right out the back door, and the little huts behind the condo never seemed to get so busy that we couldn't find space. There aren't a ton of restaurants near there, but there were grocery stores close by. It was super easy to get to from the airport, but i think you need a car just to get around. We will definitely return to these condos when we return to Cayman.
Our family of four just stayed at Discovery Point Club for 13 nights and loved it. I can see why they receive so many repeat guests. The condo complex is in the West Bay Area of Seven Mile Beach, so it’s a bit more low-key. However it’s a quick drive to restaurants north or south of the complex. The ocean water is gorgeous, and the pool and hot tub is a great area overlooking the water. There are only about 45 condos and it never felt crowded. Also, every staff member we encountered was extremely friendly. We stayed in condo #32 which is in the second floor. It was spacious enough for our family, has a nice screened in lanai, was very clean and had everything we needed, including laundry and dish detergent, snorkeling gear and more. We will definitely be back.
Spacious, comfortable condo with full kitchen and large balcony. Excellent for our family of four. Daily housekeeping and fresh beach towels provided whenever needed. Chairs, umbrellas and cabanas all available on the beach and pool. Pristine beach steps from the door. Can't imagine a better place to stay!
I hope no one else ever has to write a review like this one. Within 3 hours of arriving at Discovery Point for our tropical vacation we suffered an unimaginable tragedy as a member of our party had a medical emergency and did not survive. The staff at Discovery Point wrapped their arms around us- literally- and treated us as long time friends even though we’d only just met. They sent flowers and fruit baskets, called to check on us, advised us on a funeral home, and so much more. Discovery Point is a beautiful resort with great amenities- but the greatest amenity is the staff that genuinely cares about the visitors. We will be forever grateful for how they cared for us in our time of greatest need.
We just returned from staying here. We have 4 kids and so I wanted a second bedroom with 2 full beds. We stayed in Unit 28 because I wanted ground floor. I loved the screened in porch and the unit had everything we wanted. I had my groceries delivered and the kitchen was supplied well. We love to play pickleball so we played on the tennis courts. One of the staff, Jerian, is a favorite to us. He was so positive and he played pickleball with us, helped us inflate our paddleboards and inflatables that we brought from home. The depth of the beach is exceptional. Sandy in front, lots of chairs, great pool, beautiful sunsets and right next to Cemetery Beach. You don't have to leave for snorkeling, it is excellent here. Lots of restaurants and grocery nearby or have anything delivered right to you unit. Highly Recommend!…
It is difficult to describe in a few words ... other than "the perfect place to vacation." The location on 7 mile beach was perfect, the rooms (condos) were immaculate and had everything one could want. The staff was lovely and accommodating and just a pleasure to converse with. The beach (and pool) was right outside the door and well maintained. We were a party of 13 (rented four condos) with ages from 4 to 72 and all were happy. I encourage all to consider the Discovery Point Club.
Pictures don't do it justice. We enjoyed every moment of our vacation. The view is stunning, the staff is amazing and we had everything we needed to make it a great stay! 2nd time staying here and we can't wait to return to this place specificially. We chose this unit because it accommodated our family-with 3 children. We lucked out! It was perfect. When we arrived housekeeping was there to greet us and boy do they do a thorough job-every day! They even suggested we needed a muffin tin and a crock pot. The next day, I was greeted with a new muffin tin and crockpot. Spices? Yep. Snorkel gear? Yep. Books to read? Yep. Even a cooler to take onto the beach or to use when visiting the island. Jermaine made our day by cutting fresh coconuts and bringing the boys treats of fruit he thought they would enjoy. They also loved their tennis matches. Truly felt like a home away from home and they have thought of all the details. We chose this location to be on the beauty of Seven Mile Beach without the crowds and cruise ship activity. It delivered. We never needed to save a chair for a beach view, we never had trouble finding a spot under a cabana and the beach had a small handful of people on it at any time. This location is not crowded and was everything we hoped for as far as privacy and family time. We were within walking distance to Cemetery Reef as well as the new Kimpton Seafire if you want to walk somewhere and have a nice meal. Fosters grocery is right down the road and I was impressed with their selections. We grilled 2x and never had to wait to use a grill. The boys enjoyed the basketball/tennis and everyone at DP was great with the kids, especially Jermaine-he is a treasure. The times we did venture out it was 10 minutes down the road to be in the "action". Favorite activities: Rum Point for dinner and using the Red Sail Catamaran to book reservations and travel there. George's WaterSports gave us a 5 stop excursion that could not be beat! We highly recommend this company. Smith's Cove is a must see for any visitor. Possibly the most beautiful place on the island. We reviewed the cruise ship itinerary to pick and choose the least crowded times to visit these spots and it worked beautifully! Best 10 days ever and we hope to return to Discovery Point again soon! Thank you!…
